Westcomb iMirage IPOD Compatible Shell Jacket - Men's - 2006 BCS

Well-built, handsome, and well thought-out. I think Westcomb crammed this thing full of features to help get make a name. MSRP is competitive for a high-end shell, and THEN it has iPod controls! It has pit zips, even though the eVent site calls them relics. I'm not a weight weenie, so I kinda like the option. There's what I assume is a pass/ticket pocket on the sleeve, although the vinyl is hard to see through. No internal pockets, except for the iPod pocket. And finally, it's very easy to get someone on the phone at Westcomb to answer a question.

Bought this after hearing about their iPod controller on several blogs. I had not tried Event before. Noticed way better breathability shoveling out after a blizzard and hiking for turns. I'm sold. The jacket is super stylee and well made. The iPod controller is slick and works perfectly.

Gore-Tex does not breath at least compared to Event. Had a Pearl Izumi event bike piece in the past and the stuff works so much better than Gore-Tex. You can really stay dry even after heavy workout. Besides that this is one of the nicest shells I've seen. Nice fit compared to Arc'teryx which is too snug for my body. Long sleeves are awesome for ice climbing and every feature seems to work great. ipod controller is brilliant and works perfectly. I'm from BC so made in Canada is what ultimately got me on this cool new brand. very satisfied, Thanks!!!
