Shuna Fiberglass 2-Piece Paddle

The Werner Shuna 2-Piece Paddle is a lightweight option for smaller paddlers who use a high-angle stroke or larger paddlers who are not looking to sacrifice high-cadence capabilities or purchase with a lightweight paddle. The paddle's mid-sized blade balances power without much resistance, and the adjustable ferrule lets you customize blade angle as needed. A carbon shaft makes for a lightweight in-hand feel, too. This high-angle paddle deserves to be taken touring out on the ocean or on long-haul treks from lake to lake.

Great all around high angle paddle!

I was able to borrow one from a friend before my order arrived. Pro: light, sturdy enough, and forgiving. Great for long distance if you’re not in a rush. Moves enough water to give you enough speed but without feeling the strain in your strokes. It allows you to do higher rpm. Con: not enough blade size for me to paddle in choppy conditions as I would like. It left me desiring for more. It would be a great 2nd paddle, but if I were to have a second paddle, I would select something even lighter just in case I would need the additional energy saving. I have a recreational kayak inflatable drop stitched that’s about 31” wide. The 210cm was a bit short and technique has to be consistent and on point or else the paddle would flutter a bit and would hit the sides of the kayak, but still doable. I don’t normally paddle more than 2 hours, so I can’t say how it would feel beyond that length of time. But for my preference, I am ordering the Corryvrecken to see.
