Named for a thundering tidal whirlpool off the coast of Scotland, the Werner Corryvrecken may let you capture some of that power. Made entirely of a continuous fiberglass weave, the Corryvrecken is comfortable, durable, and affordable. High-angle blades give you a powerful catch and their subtle dihedral helps smooth transitions and linked strokes. Werner's adjustable ferrule system is now standard on the Corryvrecken, allowing you to feather left or right in 15 degree increments, so that both you and your southpaw friend can use the same paddle.

Been using this paddle on my inflatable Pack Cat on ricers in Texas and Mexico. These rivers are generally long flat water punctuated by fun white water. This paddle is a great inbetween, good swing weight on flat, good digging power in the water water. Werner makes a solid paddle.

This is my pack cat, I use a Carbon Corryvrecken, perfect combination for long flat sections of river and power in the white water.

Have used the Corryvrecken one year. Excellent if you want a workout paddle, but not so good for long paddle trips or (mostly weaker) female persons.
