Great shirt. Not cheap though.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: M
It's a slim fit, but I'd say it's still fairly true to size. This is meant to be a base layer after all. If you like a less European fit, I'd suggest sizing up (I'm a pretty slim dude).
The material is great. The shirt has that merino sheen, so the color might look a bit different in person. I've worn it for a week straight with no odor. I've only hand washed it in woolite, so I can't say much about machine washing. There's a little metal button on the side of the front pocket; slightly cool against the skin at first, but I got used to it quickly.
If you're looking at merino shirts, I'll spare you the details, but the material is amazing. The fabric is lighter than an average cotton T-shirt. I've worn it throughout the NC summer, and it's performed well in the heat.
Awesome shirt overall, but still a bit pricier than I would say it's worth. Would totally buy a second one if they were 50 instead of 75.
Extremely comfortable,highly respectable
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Large
Wear it to work, to dinner, or just wear it every day.
Classy enough for work here at Backcountry, or dinner in Park City, but also understated and unassuming enough to wear with your friends at a Saturday BBQ. This is a premium basic shirt. You will feel it when you put it on, you will walk around knowing you are wearing it, and it will elevate your presence in any situation. I am an athletic 5' 10" (lean) 165lbs, and have had both a medium and a large. The medium fits me like the model in the image above, tight in the chest and under the pits. I got the Large and it fits nicely in the shoulders and does not show off too much (lack of) definition. Still a trim large though.
