At the end of a long session of face-meltingly fast park laps, you’ll find the Volkl Wall Alpine Ski standing tall while it flexes the muscle of its tough composite-wrapped core. Vertical sidewalls and full-length wood make for stable rides into the jump lines and smooth transitions out of heavy landings. Hammer into a quarter pipe switch or bomb choppy powderfields face first on Volkl’s most versatile park ride.
- A multi-layer Sensorwood core puts a burly ash wood under the binding for stability and mounting strength, while softer poplar at the tip and tail gives a resilient feel and smooth flex
- Combined Power and Tough-Box constructions utilize vertical sidewalls and multiple layers of wood and carbon to increase on-edge grip while allowing for a little snap between turns
- Carve snappy turns thanks to the symmetric sidecut that rewards sliding switch as much as sending it face first
Bottom Line: A switch stick that hangs tough.
