Volkl calls the Racetiger Speedwall GS UVO Ski with the rMotion2 16. D Race Binding a "beer-league race ski", which suggests they must be drinking some high-octane ale over at headquarters. Maybe the Racetiger doesn't meet FIS specs, but other than that? It's a titanium-laminated rocket, with plenty of powerful camber underfoot and just enough rocker in the tip to smooth out rough rides. Volkl built it with a Speedwall 2.0 wood core, which utilizes light, flexibile wood in the body of the ski and extra-hard wood near the sidewalls for an ideal combination of weight and edging power, and made sure to include a vertically laminated torsion box so you can drive the ski as hard as you want without overpowering it.
Volkl also included a UVO vibration-dampening system, which utilizes a free-swinging weight in the tip to counteract 360 degrees of vibrations, giving you a buttery-smooth ride as you rip down rutted courses, because hundredths matter, even in beer-league racing. The Racetiger comes mounted with rMotion2 16.0 D Race Bindings, too, which have a powerful wide footprint and a DIN range of 6-16, which is all you'll need unless you're planning on winning the Hahnenkamm.
