If your winter is spent chasing storms and surfing through waist-deep powder, then you need the Volcom Men's Rain Gore-Tex Overall Pant. Gore-Tex 2-layer fabric is guaranteed waterproof to keep you dry in the wettest conditions and guaranteed breathable to prevent you from overheating on intense hikes and long runs. The bib styling prevents snow from going down your pants when you're in bottomless snow, and if you want extra protection you can zip it into your Volcom jacket to create an impenetrable snow barrier thanks to the Zip Tech jacket-to-pant interface. Plus, fully taped seams keep moisture from seeping in through the cracks.

Whether you're skinning up to the peak or shredding through trees, the GPT articulated fit moves with your body for unrestricted mobility. When temps warm up in the spring, open the zippered inseam vents to dump excess heat. The Rain Gore-Tex is also equipped with a reinforced back hem and kick panels to ensure multiple-season durability.

Here's what others have to say...

I'm 6'0" about 175lbs give or take with a 32" waist and weirdly broad shoulders. What size would you recommend? I don't like anything baggy but I do like room to maneuver. Not much of a slim fit type of person. Thanks in advance! -Tyler

Hey Tyler,
These do run a bit on the big side. I'm about the same size you are so I'd say that you'd be good with the medium fit. They do run longer than what is suggested on the size chart at the 32 inseam. If you have any other questions feel free to drop me a line at

I snowboard and need help in deciding between the Volcom Rain Overall and the Trew Gear Trewth Bib. I'm about 5'9 @ 155lbs and not sure which pants would fit better. I know I need a size S, but don't want it to be too baggy. Just enough room to add layers if needed and maneuverability going down the mountain and hitting the park occasionally.

The gore bib from Volcom for sure is running slimmer than previous year so if you don't want something very baggy this would be a good choice. The trewgear bib are a bit more $$ and there's no Gore-tex so you're paying more and getting less features. In my opinion this is a no brainer and the Volcom bib is the go here.

I'm 6'2 190lbs, I don't like my pants too baggy, which size should I get? M or L?

Take a look at Jimmy's photos below, knowing him personally, I'd say he is similar build. You'll see he has the large on and I'm thinking the medium may be a bit short in the leg length.

Hope this helps you out.

Enjoy your upcoming season.

The medium would be way too short for you, if you're 6'2. A large should be god for you. The straps adjust and allow you have them loose or super tight if you want to run them that way. XL would probably be too big in length and you would be dragging.

Gore, its going to keep you dry. If you call in and say. Hey my gear is leaking. You're probably doing it wrong. Gore-tex will fix your gear so don't worry. I've never had a problem with piece of gore-tex everrrrrrrrr. Unless you rip it on a tree or something this is going to be just fine.

No thermal layering this year

No thermal layering this year

So one difference between the bibs from last season and this year is that the bib has gotten rid of the TDS (Thermal Defense System) If there was any complaint i had with the bib from before was that on mild days i couldn't wear them bc it was just too warm. Not a problem now! The extra thermal was removed so you can layer to your comfort level. I was really stoked to see this change and i'm sure i wasn't alone. Don't get me wrong warm gear is great and i like things that are great but.......sometimes you need a little venting too. I hope you've enjoyed my review and this helps in making the right decision for you.

The best feature on any piece of Volcom outerwear. This zips into any Volcom jacket or any other jacket that has a zipper. Use it, you won't be disappointed. Plus it keeps the heat trapped in if you get cold easy.

Double protection on the heels

Double protection on the heels

Sometimes you gotta beef it up in the back. To avoid the back of your bibs ripping bring the ground or friction from the binding this will aide in keeping your bibs looking fresh.

Zip on the side for easy entry

I normally don't even need to use this but a feature that is available if you want/need it.

Comfy in the seat.

I am 6'0 195lbs and this is a size large. Plenty of room to layer.

Awesome Gore-tex Bib

Awesome Gore-tex Bib

So you're looking for a bib and don't know which one to pick. Well look no further because this is the bib for you. The Rain Gore-tex bib is a awesome 2 layer gore-tex bib that is going to keep you dry and comfy all day long. This has a slimmer cut than previous bib from volcom. front pockets on the chest 2 on the side and 2 on the back. ZIP-tech, which in my opinion is one of the most unde rated features from Volcom. I always make sure i'm zipped in to not allow snow down the back.
