When you're out on the mountain, you might find yourself waist-deep in powder, or carving turns while a snowstorm's dumping down. In general, and especially in these situations, it's nice to have a pant that's going to keep moisture at bay and keep snow from getting in your pants. The Volcom Men's Machine Pant is designed to do just that: its fabric's a solid level of 15,000mm waterproof protection and fully taped seams ensure you stay dry, while a number of features work together to keep snow out. The adjustable inner waistband allows you to customize a secure fit, and the pant-to-jacket zipper interface allows you to connect the pant to any compatible Volcom jacket to seal snow out at the waist. You can easily slide the stretch boot gaiters with snap gussets over your boots and attach them them with a hook to your laces so they stay put. The breathable lining keeps you comfortable, while the pre-articulated construction provides moving comfort while you trek up or carve down the mountain. And if you start to work up a sweat, you can zip open the inseam vents to air out.

Six pockets offer plenty of spots to carry essentials with you, and the flaps on the back and thigh pockets also add style. You can attach your lift ticket to the logo ticket ring to ensure you don't loose it at an inopportune moment. Thanks to all the technical functionality combined with characteristic Volcom street-inspired style, inopportune moments due to inadequate protection or questionable style will be a thing of the past.

Function and Fit

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I had some pants from another brand that were supposed to be 15K and were just strait up garbage. Got he machine pants and now my buns are super toasty. Great fit and function. They are a little slimmer than I'd normally run, but they feel great and are very waterproof.
