Touring experiance

Hey. I use that board with Voile Burton S-Series kit and Burton Mission old binding and boots plus Voile skins on the incline. All works well, the board ride very nice in the deep snow.
The problem is the weight - the complete set with boots-skins-etc is 25lbs, 11kg on your legs. With the standard board you can have 5lbs/2kg less. So if you want to have solid workout it's fine but to extend your trips I will be looking for more light weight solution. If I tour with ski-tour friends their setup is 4-6kg in total so that is big difference in max pace you can go.
On the other side to ride the wide board is lot of fun but you also fill the weight on your legs so it's more like cruising without jumping and you have to use dynamic displacement to ride it. If you want to fill it take your current board add some extra weight on it to have 25lbs on your legs and try then.
