Probably limited to summer travel depending on how much you pack as far as clothes and toiletries. I just responded to a question below, but it might help if i explained in greater detail what i packed. I had a heavy fleece top, a tiny rain shell, a hikerpro water filter, a 3L cambelbak bladder, a 24fl oz thermos, my wife's softshell jacket, about an old-school lunchbox sized amount of food, and about a little ziplock bag's worth of random survival type stuff, plus two apples. lol so hopefully I didn't forget anything and that helps you get a better idea of what 1950cu. in. looks like. I was able to get another lightweight fleece thrown in but there wasn't much more room left, unless you want to start leashing stuff to the outside.

Love this pack

This pack was exposed to a few torrential downpours while on our trip in South East Asia, and I'm happy to report that the contents remained dry as a bone. The pack was adjustable so it could be shared between my husband and I. It has three small zip areas for compartmentalizing and an interior pocket which came in handy also. All in all, a great purchase.

I'm not the most knowledgeable guy when it comes to gear, new to it all, but i can provide my experiences. I recently bought this pack on SteepandCheap. Anxious to try it out, I filled it with a fleece, some food, camelbak bladder, and enough to fill it for a afternoon of cross-country skiing. It proved way more comfortable than expected. It rain/drizzled the entire 4 hours outside and nothing got wet. To me it seams durable enough, but I have no experience really, so can't recognize all the little extras. I see it's currently listed at $70 here on backcountry and would recommend it for that price. Very excited to keep using this pack!

Poor product

Within 4 weeks of mild use carrying school books the bottom seam came unglued and now the bag is useless. The bag does come with a 1 year warranty but if you ever plan to use it you have to send the product back to germany which will probably cost you more than the bag did anyhow.

This pack isn't designed to carry books man. Books are heavy and square, the pack is rounded. It carries ropes, climbing gear and layers great!

I've looked every where for the answer to this question,

I've looked every where for the answer to this question, hopefully you can help.

I'm 6'6" and concerned that it won't have a long enough torso length for me. When you say the pack was adjustable, does that mean that has the Vaude FLASH torso length adjustment system? In other words do the tops of the shoulder straps actually extend and retract from the back panel and have different locking positions?

Adam, this pack is not going to have the Vaude Flash torso length adjustment system. This pack has the Anatomic NT suspension system which is Energy absorbing Air Pads snuggle up ergonomically against your back, supporting a natural range of motion and ensuring excellent cushioning. A high comfort level is reinforced by the lightweight, anatomical ABS panel inside the pack’s back that ensures form stability.
