Winter boot

I bought this is a winter boot and it's been perfect. I only wear it out for winter backpacking which is usually 2 or 3 day trips. It has loosened up a bit but has kept me warm and caused no problems on high mileage days. Bin would recommend it for cold weather.

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

      Weight: 185 lbs
      Size Purchased: 11

I did not actually buy these for walking, I got them for snow biking and they worked GREAT! while breaking trail and having to dis-mount when the snow got too deep I had no issues. I rode all the way down to about 10 degrees with one pair of slightly thick socks and had no problems. I normally wear a 11 or 11.5 and bought 11's and they feel awesome!

I normally where a 10-1/2 shoe size. Do these boots allow room for a thicker sock if I order the 10-1/2?

Hey Joe! These do tend to run a little bigger so you can layer with thicker socks if you stick with your normal size. If you place your order with me I can include a free return label if the size doesn't work out. We could also order 2 sizes and you can return whatever doesn't work out and receive a full refund! My email is

Is there a temperature rating on these?

That info isn't measured or listed in these boots, but with 200g thinsulate, I would say in the teens you will still be warm. It all depends on what your doing, if you have good socks and you are doing something aerobic, then you will for sure stay warm. If you need anything else this season, contact me directly and I would love to help you get the best prices/gear advice. My direct email is Feel free to hit me up anytime.

    Amazing winter boot!!!

I've tried on many different kinds off boots, from Merrell to Northface. None fit my feet as well as these have! I'm and 8 and bought size 8. Feels maybe slightly big but not overly so. The toe box is extra roomy, something I'm not quite used to, but after hiking and foot swell I'm glad to have it. Traction is excellent across snow and mud and ice. I will say that perhaps the lugs could be deeper. They are really warm and completely waterproof!! Using them in the Colorado mountains. When walking around town they do feel a little clunky but maybe that's cause they feel slightly big and I need to go down a 1/2 size

I have 8.5 EE or EEE feet. Should I buy the 11.5 boot to be safe?

Are these good for summer hiking as well...

Are these good for summer hiking as well or are the too warm?

Thinsulate insulation does a pretty good job, and sweaty feet suck and cause blisters. Go for something else that breathes, but still has some sort of waterproof lining like Gore-Tex.

Will you be getting more of these in this...
