my husband is truly a 12 narrow foot. we always have difficulty finding a low hiker in narrow with good arch support.
does anyone have any good recommendations?
You may want to check out the Salewa models. Here is one link (http://www.backcountry.com/salewa-alp-trainer-hiking-shoe-mens). They typically run a bit narrower and have an adjustable volume system.
Great soles, poor construction
I got these shoes early this spring and have been wearing them through the year from hiking in the Tetons and the Uintas to the slick rock country of southern Utah. These shoes have fantastic traction on slick rock. Seriously the feel right at home on rock.
The problem that I have noticed is that they are wearing out on the seams around the mouth of the shoe. This wear is seems to be premature. I expect higher quality from Vasque and will be contacting the company to report my problem. If the shoes had been better constructed I would happily give them a 5 stars but I really can't recommend a shoe that falls a part with less than a season's use.
