Description

Get there in the Mantra 2.0.

If the Vasque Mantra 2.0 Hiking Shoe were any meaner to the trails in your crosshairs, it would sprout fangs and yell names at them. This shoe boasts modern style and a super-grippy Vibram sole that helps you navigate even the most treacherous class IV scramble. Abrasion-resistant mesh and nubuck leather comprise a rugged upper that allows air circulation to keep you comfortable even on your more aerobic hikes, while a molded PU midsole provides cushioning to proven pressure points underfoot.

Here's what others have to say...

Do these Mantras fit like the Salomon X ultra? I find the Salomon to run narrow for me. Thanks, Andy

Responded on

These will fit much like the Salomon X Ultra. Salomon actually gets more narrow as you get into their higher end trail runners. The X-Ultra is still using a wider toe box, if you are looking for something that is even wider check out Keen's offerings.

Amazon.com lists Backcountry as the supplier of wide-width Vasque Mantara 2.0 shoes. This shoe in wide width is either backordered or discontinued by most online stores. Why would Amazon list you as the suppler of a wide width shoe when clearly that is not the case? I'm glad I went to your site to find out. Someone should contact Amazon and get this straightened out. I was very excited to find my shoe size, but now am bummed out.

Awesome

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I bought my first pair of these 2 years ago and I've put almost 400miles on them. I broke them in on a 47 mile hike on the AT through Maryland. Spent almost a year hiking through southern Japan and finished off with climbing Mt Fuji. I have a wide foot with a high instep and usually wear a 10 1/2, I bought a size 11 and that affords me enough room for when my feet swell during long hikes. They breath well, are super comfortable, and the sole is durable yet provides substantial traction on all types of terrain. They are not water proof but the dry quickly. I was so impressed I just bought my second pair!

Unfortunately, we do not carry any wide options in the Mantra 2.0. Sorry about that!

I wear 8.5 wide and I am a medium pronator could this shoe work?

If you are a true wide then this will likely be too tight for you as they are a standard D width.
