When temps start to soar, keep your feet cool without sacrificing support or weatherproofing with the Vasque Women's Inhaler GTX Hiking Boot. Built-in structural ventilation with mesh panels and air-permeable toe and heel counters promotes airflow, and Gore-Tex allows maximum breathability while still creating a waterproof barrier. The result is athletic shoe comfort in supportive and rugged boot form.
The dual-density EVA footbed and EVA midsole cushion your steps when you're crossing rough terrain and provide a responsive feel so you can keep going mile after mile. The Vibram outsole features Megagrip rubber for sure-footed confidence when you're balancing atop an exposed ridge, and it's super-durable for long-lasting performance.

Great shoes if they weren't too small
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: 6.5
I should have ordered a half size up; normally a 6.5, but my toes felt too close to the ends; but they fit great right out of the box and I felt great ankle support! So bummed these didn't fit the first time around, hopefully I'll remember to update my rating once I get a pair that fits better :)
Vasque Inhaler GTX
so far so good
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 7.5
I have hiked not too much, but far enough with those. They are comfortable and make me feel stable. I have climbed steep trails with rocky slide-like terrain, didn't slip even once. Got to try them in rivers, nothing gets wet at ankle level, and what I really loved was that when walking in deep water and literally soaking, I didn't feel the usual freezing sensation and it took them some 10-20minutes to dry on the trail. So far, so good and for the price it is, seems great. We'll see what more use will bring
Would this boot be good for lightweight backpacking? I need a lightweight and breathable boot that also has ankle support, which is hard to find!
Hey Jennball - This would be a good choice for a breathable, lightweight backpacking boot with ample ankle support. Check out the Salomon X Ultra Mid 2 GTX Hiking Boots (Item #SAL00CY) which will be even lighter. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions.
