“All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.” –Jeff Spicoli.

Make sure you wear the VANS Spicoli 4 Sunglasses to history class—you don’t want Mr. Hand to know you’ve been stoned since third grade. These 80s-tastic shades’ thick acrylic frames bring Sean Penn’s slacker surf style to mind. Top off the look with some stringy beach-bleached hair, a pair of checkerboard slip-ons, and an unbuttoned shirt that shows off your hairless chest.

    Cheap doesn't mean bad

I'm somewhat of a connoisseur when it comes to cheap sunglasses. I once bet an acrobat I met on assignment in Santa Monica that if he brought me ten pairs of $10 American Flag sunglasses from ten different vendors on Venice Beach I could correctly identify which pairs were purchased south of Westmin or north of Brooks. It was a gentlemens bet. No significant stakes except the sense of honor we both felt was unmatched by the other. I had a meeting that evening in Noho and my new friend was staying near Venice, so he offered to pick up the sunglasses that night and then we would meet at Intellegentsia in the morning for coffee and the sunglasses identity challenge! I was told acrobats don't often keep cash on hand so I gave Ricardo $100 and set off for my meeting in the armpit of Los Angeles. I never saw Ricardo again and can only imagine he perished in a tragic trapeze accident, but I'd like to think I would have absolutely been able to match each pair of glasses with their tent-of-origin. In any case, as someone that would never spend one hundred hard-earned Washingtons on a hangover-hider, you can absolutely take my word for it - these are the best $10 shades out there!

      Rad Glasses for the Price!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you are like me and always lose your sunglasses then these are for you. You cannot find a better pair of sunglasses out there for the price. They come in a ton of awesome colors and are pretty comfortable. I haven't noticed any eye fatigue or any discomfort after hours of use. Definitely a great pair of glasses and if you break them or lose them who cares but another pair, they are cheaper then buying lunch.

      Go to for cheap shades

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

I usually buy 2-3 pairs of these once a year or so just to have. They're my every day sunglasses, nothing fancy, but they work well and are generally pretty stylish. Cheap, and no pressure if they break or get lost. Definitely recommend 'em.

Seems to make the day brighter

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these for a float trip where I was pretty sure I would lose a pair of glasses but despite the low price, I could not get used to looking through them. It seemed to increase the amount of light that was coming through my lenses.

      Cheap and easy,

Make Jeff Spicoli proud and give the finger to Mr Hand while looking cool and keeping those peepers safe from the rays. Solid construction, heavier than expected. They fell pretty solid unlike some other cheapo shades and after a year of use they held up well. Lenses are pretty durable, haven't scratched yet with the several drops they've taken. Good buy! I've already ordered a bunch more

      Outstanding Value

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

If you are like me you loose a lot of your stuff...I mean a lot. For some reason I am unable to keep track of sunglasses for more than a week if I do not break them first. I first picked up these cheapos to throw in the car for Jet skiing. I quickly realized the quality was a lot higher than the price would indicate. Ever since these have been my goto shades when I need cheap replacements. Go ahead and grab a few of the many colors they come in.

      Cheap and easy.

I've been buying this pair of sunglasses for a few years now. Great pair for someone who doesn't want to commit to dropping some serious scrilla on a pair of Oakleys or Ray Bans -- solid construction and no harm, no foul if they get broken or fall into the river. Great color options, and a great fit for medium sized faces.

I'll keep coming back until I'm ready for a high-end pair of sunnies.

Tortoise shell shaping is for old ladies

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs large

I bought the tortoise shell glasses on sale for $9. I figured they'd be a good substitute when I don't want to risk losing/damaging my Ray Bans. Sadly, the Vans are shaped like old lady glasses with too much droop in the lower outer edge. My wife might make use of these, but I won't.

Who can say me the dimensions of the frame?...

Who can say me the dimensions of the frame? As I have small face, I need small glasses.
