these shoes are good once you swap the insoles. mine were low enough that the sides of the shoes were diggin into my ankles so i switched them and haven't looked back since.

Like small wheels and BONITE.

VANS has produced some amazing ROWLEY shoes on the past; and I've skated them religiously due to their vegan attributes, amazing durability and style.

Unfortunately, the SPV misses the mark in quite a few places.

Yeah, they look cool...and the all black/tuff-tech ones have a gnarly "I stole my dad's office shoes" trip going on, but the down side is that they are even more flimsy than a pair of AUTHENTICS. I walked into the skate park, stepped on a pebble (no sh*t) actually HURT. Board feel, definitely, but land primo and you're done, son.

SO... if you MUST jump on the slim shoe wagon, do yourself a favor and save 20 bucks: spring for a pair of ERAs. Your feet will thank you, the shoes will last longer, and in 10 years you won't be one of those chumps asking "what the hell were we thinking???" (Anyone who experienced small wheels and BONITE boards will attest to this kind of shame.)

Talk about board feel.

This shoe is one of the best I have yet to put on my feet. They are the perfect shape. The reverse waffle sole has the perfect amount of grip, but with the added durability. The Tuff Tech suede looks awesome in person too. It looks more like a waxed canvas, but skates like suede. You won't be disappointed by these at all.

I agree with the above reviews. Depending on what you like, they are soft and flimsy like thommyhero said. I don't like skating authentics and eras as much because I can't seem to feel the deck as well as I'd like. If you are wanting better deck feel, then look no further.

The only con is that I feel they run a bit larger in the toe bed, causing them to have a floppy feel if you go with your normal size, so you might consider trying a size smaller and hope they track out a bit.
