Vans took the their top-of-the-line tech and infused it with classic style borrowed from the hiking world to make the Vans Infuse Boa Snowboard Boot. The Infuse Boa features a rugged exterior and a super-plush interior to ensure durability and comfort on all snow types and terrain. And to achieve a super-customized fit, you will find a hybrid closure system consisting of both Boa and traditional laces to blend ease of use with old-school reliability.

The Hybrid Boa system is a Vans first, and it combines the classic feel of traditional laces, with a Boa system to lock your heel in place and keep it snugged down all day. The waterproof full grain leather upper isn't just sweet looking, it's super durable as well. The power strap cuff, and Flex Control tongue inserts give you a ton of control over how much flex your boots have, from freestyle and forgiving, to stiff and hard charging.

The Custom-X liner is heat moldable, so you can get a perfectly broken-in fit before you ever slip them on. A V Tech footbed uses slow rebounding EVA to fight off heel bruises, minimize chatter, and provide optimized arch support. If you have a set of well broken in hiking boots that you wear everywhere, consider the Infuse the on-snow version. You'll be bummed when it's time to take them off.

These are my new favorite boots. I'm still in the process of breaking these in but I've had a number of days in on them and am loving the adjustability of the boots.

Adjusting:
These have a power strap, a boa dial for the in-step of the boot and laces. All for adjusting the fit. Then there is the Flex Control System for dialing in the flex/stiffness of the boot.

Fit:
I've got narrow heels and I find that the combination of the liner and the Boa over the in-step of your foot that my heel sits nicely in the heel pocket.

First Day Out!!

Christopher,

I've been touring a few times in these and have have the power strap in place but not as tight as it can go. But these won't be my primary touring boot as I've got a hardboot set up as well.

Let's connect and we can chat about the Burton Tourist boots and how they compare to the Infuse.

I am looking for a new boot and this one caught my eye. I have a very temperamental right ankle and any slight tweak causes some pain. My current boots are 4 years old and have lost their stiffness. How would you rank the stiffness and ankle support on these boots?

Stefan,

I like the stiffness of these a lot. The thing I find unique about these that I'm not seeing on other boots is the Boa dial which tightens a piece of material over the front of your ankle.

I think if you've got temperamental ankles then these would be good boots as you won't get this level of adjustability in other boots when looking at the Boa dial, the power strap and the laces.

Feel free to hit me up with questions about these boots.

How is the sizing on these Vans Infuse boots? I wear a size 10 shoe, and currently have some size 10 - 2014 Burton Ion's that fit me perfectly. I've asked around, and also asked Vans customer service and they recommend ordering up a half to full size. What are your thoughts on that? Should I stick to a size 10 with Vans, or 10.5, or 11?

Jonathan,

I've been rocking a pair of size 10 Infuses' this season and loving them.

My foot measures in at 10 on the brannock scale (the little device you put your foot in at the shoe store to measure it with). So footwear for me is any where from a 9.5-10 (depending on the brand) for me. I went with size 10's in this (my Vans shoe size) and they fit great.

I'd recommend staying true to size as once they pack out a bit in the liner you'll have more space.
