    Favorite Shoe

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I absolutely love this shoe. It is the shoe I wear everyday. Whether I am skating, biking, or just walking around, it is my go-to shoe. Not only is it comfortable, but it matches with most clothes. The sizing is true and the life span is incredible. Highly recommended.

I can't stop buying these shoes

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 13

I own these shoes in so many different colors and styles and I love them all. Every time I go through a pair of these I just get another pair. Best shoes ever!

    No laces no problem

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 11.5

I don't know of any of my skater/bmx friends that haven't worn a pair of these at some point in their lives if not currently. They do run a bit big so i'd recommend ordering half/fullsize smaller in most cases. Classic vans waffle sole offers good traction. Don't expect much arch support.

Only Street shoes I ever Buy

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 10

There is a reason these shoes are classics.
The low profile, clean look of no laces allow for these to be my daily drivers for everyday. From classy partys to lunch meetings the van slip ons can do them all. The only negative thing that I every have about them is I have a wider foot so I do have to go up a half size for max comfort, and the tightness of the shoes the first few wears can be a bit painful.

I have used these for downhill biking in a tight pinch, and while they did not have the foot stability that my 5-10s did around my foot, the stiffness of the sole and the grip the waffle tread had on my pedal kept me on the pedals for the duration of the ride without a second thought.

    TL;DR Great shoes for everything

    So Chill

I've been rockin' the slip-on's since I was a wee little lad. Their classic design never lets them go out of style. Just slip'em on, and go! I must say, I do enjoy Era's too, but sometimes I get lazy and don't always feel like messing with laces.

If you've never owned a pair of Vans slip-on's before, they tend to run about a half to full size bigger than other brands, so keep that in mind.

    Hey bud, lets party!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are a tried and true design used since 1966 with minimal changes, and for good reason. Jeff Spiccoli sported the black checked design back in the 80's and they have been a favorite of pro bikers and skaters all over the world. I take a size 14 and have to typically go through a really uncomfortable "break in" period where the material stretches out, but thanks to the elastic along the sides of the tongue these fit right out of the box. All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, my Vans classic slip ons and Im fine!

    Nice and Simple

Sometimes you don't feel like wearing your shiny shoes, and want something more casual without the look of traditional sneakers. These were a great, inexpensive pick-up to mix in with my Johnston&Murphy's.

In terms of fit, they remind me of the Adidas Sambas I used to wear growing up; true-to-size length, but slightly narrow toebox.

    Classic style but narrow

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

These will throw you back to your childhood days of stomping around the neighborhood with like minded hoodlums. Unfortunately for me, my foot it just too wide. Having that said they seem particularly slim so heads up. You may be able to size up if needed but if you're foot isn't too wide they seem to be about true to size.

    love this style of Vans

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love the shoes I love Vans and this particular black and white checkerboard style I have been wearing them since a kid growing up in Half Moon Bay California and I'm now 46 years old living in Anchorage Alaska and they still love the shoes they bring me back to my childhoodI've must of had a hundred pairs over my lifetime probably moreI ordered them from these guys and they came fast and a bit on my feet ever since great company I will order from them again and again and again because I love you shoes

    Vans Slip Ons Rock

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have gone through multiple pairs of these shoes, and I still love em. I wouldn't recommend skating in them, because you will rip through the fabric after a few ollies. But if you are looking for a stylish, comfy shoe, these are the way to go.

Just need to improve durability to get a 5-Star from me.

I imagine these shoes have no arch support nor will fit orthotic inserts?

    Are these in men or women's size? I'm looking for a women's 9-9 1/2.

Here's my dilemma, I have been a HUGE fan of the classic "Jeff Spicoli" Off-The-Wall, black & white checked slip on's since "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" came out in the early eighties. Problem is, I don't have the same skinny 14 year old kid's feet anymore! Vans really let down their customers when they quit making & selling wide-sized shoes. Where can a guy still find a vintage, or hell, even a used pair of these classic American shoes in size 13 wide? Am I just dreaming, or can it be done? And at what cost? I might be getting old, but I'm still not ready to grow up. Help, please! - Mike Chapman

Does anyone out there ANYWHERE know where I might be able to find any new, used, or vintage Vans Classic black/white check slip-ons in WIDE sizes?? Specifically size 13W?

    Are these all men sizes?

    Are these all men sizes?

    Fit true to size?

    Fit true to size?

The Vans classic slip on or core classic slip on both fit true to size. I've never had a problem buying these to my true size. There isn't any of that padding nonsense so depending on the shape of your foot you may need to size up for wide/fat feet or down a half size for the more narrow foot. I have a narrow foot but buy true so that I can wear them with socks and still be comfortable in the winter and lose the socks in the summer.
