Forcing right on through to the next decade.

Dependability, durability, and no-BS functionality are some of the traits Union values in a binding, and after 11 years of going strong, that fact's no more apparent than in the design of the Union Force Snowboard Binding. A medium flex and burly baseplate offers next-level heelside control when you're charging steeps without compromising your ability to poke out a method or lock into a proper press in the park. The multi-zone Force highback allows flex where you want it and delivers support where you need it for the perfect blend of tweakability and response.

The ultra-rugged Stage IV Duraflex ST baseplate is so strong that it's guaranteed for life against breakage, and it's equipped with an extruded 3D aluminum heelcup to reduce weight while maintaining strength and stiffness. The 3D Direct-Connect ankle strap provides a secure and responsive fit without creating painful pressure points, and the toe strap is low-profile and cored-out to wrap around the front of your boot for a comfy and secure fit. Tried-and-true magnesium buckles are four times as strong as aluminum and half the weight. From the backcountry to the streets, the Force is the binding of choice for hard-hitting riders all over the world.

    Very Nice Very Nice

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Union has been one of my go to companies for bindings over the years. It was finally time to upgrade and these were no exception to value and performance.

    Used and abused

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

The Union Forces were the first Unions I tried out, and ultimately they are my favorite binding altogether. I also own the Union Contact Pros (great for jibbing) and the Union T. Rice (great for hard charging) but the Forces are a perfect balance between the two and are great for any style of riding. There's a reason the Forces are so popular... they just kick ass. I have used and abused the hell out of these bindings and I still haven't changed anything on them. 3 years later, still going strong with plenty of time left.

    Awesome Bindings!

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I love this bindings. They fit my boots well. I love the fact that I can move the ladders without any tools, and so therefore, I can do it on the slope. Love the ability to use the toe straps over the tip of my boots. I feel that this allows me to have more authority on the heel edge. Instruction for mounting was precise and clear. I just wish that the ladders were just a little bit longer.

    Very durable bindings

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Have used it a few times so far and I have to say for my first pair of bindings I am pretty impressed.

Much better than the bindings I'd get on typical rentals.

Easy to strap in. I wear a size 13 boot and the large is a perfect fit.

    Don't snowboard without them.

Seriously. The best all-around bindings you can get come from the wizards at union. And for your money - there is no better choice than the force. Super responsive, dependable, and built to take a beating - you will love these. Put a pair on every board you own. Just because

      Time for an upgrade

      • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these for my husband and this is what he had to say:

"I love these bindings! I upgraded from a rather old pair of Burton Mission bindings, and now I’ve fallen in love with my board all over again. These bindings have performed all over the mountain, whether I'm doing park laps or taking soft turns in deep powder. I’ve had no complaints so far. They’re really easy to set up, and the tool-less straps and forward lean adjustment can easily be done on the fly.

I’ve heard of issues with the toe strap sticking on older models, but I haven’t had any issues getting these on and off. So all in all I would highly recommend these bindings to anyone looking to upgrade their current ride or for someone looking for a great all-mountain binding at a great price!"

My husband normally wears a size 9 street shoe so the size M/L fit his boots perfectly. Also, he really likes the bright Green color :P

Do it all with the Union Forces

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Please do yourself a favor and get this binding. There is a reason these have been around for over a decade. First off responsiveness is a huge factor in this as these bindings are no slouch. They also are extremely comfortable, and feel locked in when strapped up. The buckles are made of magnesium which is much stronger then standard aluminum. They are such basic bindings with no extra that are built to last season for guys who are out there riding 50+ days per season without breaking the bank. I loved riding these in the park when i was younger, and continue to rely on them today on my all mountain/pow set up! Feel free to reach out with questions! Jumorgan@backcountry.com

Do it all with the Union Forces

      My only weapon of choice

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

This year union really amazed me , super quick and easy to adjust to fit your feet , the new designed rubber in the toe strap allows them to fit perfect on any boot of choice, and you can never go wrong with their warranty , this company backs their product 100% , and i will continue to support them as well.

      The Perfect Binding!

      • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Got a M/L set for my husband who wears a size 8.5 snowboard boot. They fit perfectly for his boot and have adjustments galore should someone be outside this size range. He really likes how easy it is to adjust the highbacks and the multiple anchor points for the toe straps so you can choose to go over the toe or over the top of your foot. Easy to install and super light and strong. Awesome!

      My Favorite All Mountain Binding

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I know have Union force bindings on two of my boards, a Jones All Mountain Twin and a Hel Yes snowboard. It is by far my favorite and most reliable binding for all types of conditions. The design is minimal, but this keeps it lightweight while at the same time very durable. The flex is medium which allows you to use it all mountain on steeps and pow, but is still flexy enough to tweak grabs and run it through the park. They do run a titch small, which is good for me as a size 7 Women's , which I put in a M/L

The best binding money can buy

I have ridden a lot of bindings but these by far are some of my favorites. This binding has zero extras on it, and is very minimal. This causes the binding to be ultra light, and in my experience extremely durable. The straps as well are very comfortable and supportive while riding. If your having problems with buckles worry no more as these magnesium buckles are way stronger then any aluminum buckle. Another feature i really like is that this is a responsive medium flexing binding that can charge big mountain as well as rip through the park.

        Still my favorite binding.

        • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

This is my second pair of Force bindings. I still have my first pair (5 years old) mounted on my powder board. Of all the bindings I've tried over the years (Burton, Ride, Nitro) these are the most well built, the most durable, and comfortable. Great for riding all types of terrain.

The FORCE is strong with this... Binding

        • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Okaaaaaaay for all you weirdos looking for the ultimate ONE binding to do it ALL? Look no further..! Okay that was cheesy but seriously I have been on the Force for going on four years now (switched from riding primarily Burton and Rome bindings) and it only continues to get better. The FORCE can deliver no matter what the conditions and is always comfortable, supportive and painlessly easy to use. Viva la FORCE!

        Work Horse

        • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

There is no better one binding from Union for all conditions riding then the Union Force. The Force has made a reputation for it's self to be the most durable, comfortable and easy to use binding available today. All new Duraflex nylon make the Force even more dependable in any situation. Updated straps, ratchets and a universal disc keep refining the Force year in and year out.
Backed by Dan Brisse, the Force is designed to get it done time and time again.

        Unanswered Question

I was wondering what the difference is between the Union Forces and the Union Contact Pros? I'd call myself and intermediate rider who likes carving groomers and I'm just now to the point of getting comfortable hitting some rails and jumps in the park. But I'd like a binding that will help me progress through the years. Thanks for the help!

I wear a size ten boot what size bindings should I buy
