Description

Assembly line for radness.

Few riders can truly "do it all" the way Torstein Horgmo does. From winning park contests and crushing rails in the streets to going huge in the backcountry, Torstein gets it done with the help of the Union Factory Snowboard Binding.

The extruded anodized aluminum heelcup reduces weight while maintaining strength and stiffness, and it never loses it's shape no matter how much you abuse it. The Stage III Atlas baseplate makes minimal contact with your board to eliminate dead zones in the board's flex beneath your feet. It also has a Team highback to make it flexible enough to tweak grabs, yet stiff enough for reliable response and support, and injected EVA bushings dampen vibrations for a smooth ride.

Canted Gas Pedals align your legs more naturally to reduce fatigue, and they improve leverage for more ollie power for riders with wider stances. The SonicFused ankle strap minimizes stitching to increase overall durability, and the Open Toe Strap is low-profile and cored-out to wrap around the front of your boot for a comfy and secure fit. Plus, magnesium buckles shave even more weight while increasing strength.

Great bindings

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Love the bindings. Took em out for the first time on a new powder set up. Had really quick heel/toe response in the trees, tons of padding for drops. Only thing I didn't like is that the screws connecting the plate to the board got loose a couple times. Not a big deal, kind of expected it with a new setup. But the padding on the footplate covers the screws, so you have to take the padding out in order to tighten em up again. Little annoying, but still great bindings.

I saw comments on another site that the base of this binding is very long, and in some cases overhung standard sized boards. Can someone please provide the length of the L/XL size of this binding?

David R,

The length of the footprint of the L./XL size measures 26 cm (260mm) from end to end.

Thanks much Grant, these will just barley fit by board OK. Now if the price would drop a little more....

Great binding in all aspects

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just bought these after my Burton Missions BROKE in half on me. I wanted/needed something more durable and heavy duty. These are the perfect mix of strength, weight and flexibility. I love more flexible bindings that can handle cliff drops, a little bit of park, and shredding the groomers.

I took them out to Vail last weekend on a nice powder day and they performed amazingly. Would highly recommend these bindings.

Good, but not Great

Bought these, but had some serious issues with getting locked in. Had to make adjustments all the way down the mountain. They're super indestructible and have shock absorbtion like no other, but they only make two sizes. I tried them out for am

Riding perfection

I have last year's model, which are hardly any different from the new model. Solid, comfy, light, responsive, and highly recommended.

So far so good with this binding. I've ridden it since the start of this season and it's holding up well.

These bindings felt weird at first since I came from an old school ( early 04' ride binding) that was pretty stiff.

These bindings are stiff in the ways you want and loose in the ways you love. Heel to toe response is quick but as soon as you tweak or start surfing through some berms, it all starts to make sense.

I wear a 8.5 Burton Ruler boot, Size M/L is what I chose.

The Ultimate

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I Love this binding. It has a nice sturdy base which still gives a little side to side roll, but the toe to heel response is killer. Super comfy top of the line straps, canting in the base to help the knees feel good after long days on hill and the highback is a great blend of response and flex.
