Under Armour put space-age technology to work in the Women's Coldgear Infrared EVO CG Mock Shirt to keep you warmer than you would have believed possible in extreme weather. The secret is the printed pattern of ceramic particles on the already-cozy brushed interior of this heavyweight top, that absorbs your body heat for later use while still allowing air and moisture to pass through when you're breaking a sweat.

    • ColdGear Infrared technology consists of a soft, undetectable coating of ceramic material that absorbs and retains your body heat for daylong warmth without additional bulk
    • Four-way stretch fabric breathes, wicks moisture, dries quickly, and offers full freedom of motion
    • Ultra-brushed interior face feels soft against your skin and provides extra warmth
    • Raglan sleeves, ergonomic seam placement, and flatlock seams prevent chafing
    • ArmourBlock antimicrobial treatment prevents the accumulation of odors

    Perfect level of warmth!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I'm a bigger girl and purchased a size large, which fits really well and is super comfy. I was concerned the mock turtle neck would be uncomfortable while running but it wasn't and kept my neck nice and warm as well.

I'm 5'4" and the length of this came down part way onto my bum, which I liked a lot (I hate shirts being too short). Even with the length and the fit being perfect (not too tight but not too loose), it did ride up all of the time, which was irritating but not awful.

To test how warm it was, I wore a light cotton zip hoody over it to see if it would be too much or not enough. It was between 32-37F each of the days and I ran/walked about 5 miles each day and the combo of this shirt and the light jacket was perfect. I think even with a vest, this would have been great. I was warm but not overly sweaty and even with a breeze I didn't get chilled.

    Super Warm!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I love this shirt during the winter for outdoor activities. It keeps you super warm and dry and doesn't make you feel clammy or cold when you go from strenuous activity to a break. Its fairly long which makes it great for use under a pack and its very fitted so its also great for layering.

    Fits well

Very comfortable. Sleeve length is good. Would have liked the mock turtle neck to be slightly wider. Fits well. Under armor is always an excellent product! Would definitely recommend.

    collar a bit tight

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small

I usually wear a small/4-6 in women's size. However the small fits a bit snug (wrinkles in the armpit), and the collar ridiculously tight so that I felt as if my ears were going to come off when I tried to take the shirt off. Will try in a medium & hope that I don't struggle as much.

    "Old School vs. New"...

Just a quick optical comparison...the older version is in the back, with the gray logo; notice the slightly higher neck. The older model is warmer, and has a better fit overall; and performed just as well, in my opinion. Progress.

This Winter, Don't Leave Home Without It

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love it. Form-fitting, not really a compression type fit (though U.A. does offer a compression fit base, too), just right for layering. As far as sizing is concerned, I'd say they're true-to-size...a 'L' works fine for me (as opposed to bike wear where I have to order a 'XL' most every time!

I wear this to work, under our short-sleeved, very thin uniform jersey we have to wear; so a base that is not bulky, and is warm and breathable is a must....and this fits the bill!

I will say, that while this base is a great, the older versions were even warmer (the versions that had the grey U.A. emblems). If you can still find one, snatch it up...get as many as you can, actually!
