Under Armour Boxer Jock

- These boxer jocks are a hybrid between briefs and boxer shorts!
- They are comfortable but... the sizing is a MAJOR problem as you can NOT try them on beforehand!
- I wear a mens large (36) but had to return mine for an XL because the boxer jocks are "fitted" which means that it's somewhat close to the skin, but not as tight as the compression versions!
- IF you're skinny, then it's true to fit; If you're the "average" male, then you "should" size UP one size!
- It's lightweight and comfortable once it fits; doesn't run up (3" version) and feels more like briefs and adds support where you need it!
- YES, it's relatively EXPENSIVE but ALL Under Armour clothing IS EXPENSIVE!
- If you work out much, then you should consider upgrading your underwear like me!
- Personally, I prefer briefs as boxer shorts do NOT provide support when you're active (i.e. running or performing martial arts).
- 3 of 5 stars because of its relatively high price and lousy sizing!

Good by cotton these are so much more comfortable no more chaffing they dry out fast, and even though i do get some bunching you hardly notice because the fabric is so thin. Quality is great fit is good don't worry about the price just try them.

UA Boxer Jocks

I have been waiting for the hot and humid weather to arrive here in north Texas to write this review. It is here and they have performed as advertised. I have worn other synthetic boxers of this style for years but none compare to these. I now own 10 pair and they are my daily drivers. The craftsmanship is good and seem like they will hold their shape for a long time. These are a must if you live in areas with high humidity or participate in any rigorous activities. Discard those worthless cotton boxers. Do yourself a favor and get some UA Boxer Jocks right now!

Happy Shopper

There isn't much more to say about these that hasn't been said... construction is perfect, material is thin but supportive, they are breathable and great for year round wear do anything and everything. Once I tried these, I bought a few more pairs, threw away the rest and have never looked back. I am 6'3", 34" waist and the Large fits great!

Hubby Approves!

I got these for my hubby for his outside activities. He uses them for hiking, swimming, washing cars, going to the gym, really anything active or where he might get wet. He loves them, says they're comfortable (and he's picky when it comes to his boxers).

Howdy, i'm planning some distance hikes, want a compression short but cannot afford to have them getting all smelly and stuffy. I plan to bring two pairs and wash them on off days but otherwise be basically wearing them for near a week at a time each. How is odor management on these things?

Best Answer Responded on

These would do alright, but are certainly not the best. Take a look at ExOfficio boxer-briefs. I believe they'll dry faster and will certainly do better with oder control. I took two pairs to Uganda for three months and had no problems doing essentially what you're planning on! Hope this helps!

The perfect pair

If you are prone to chafing when you exercise, buy these. These are perfect for running. And they are especially great for long backpacking trips - as they are light weight and dry quickly after washing.

I'm a fan

Been using Patagonia underwear for years and they recently changed the design so I've had to look elsewhere. After much deliberation I finally decided on these. Extremely comfortable, the waist band is amazing since it doesn't fold over. That's one of my biggest pet peeves with underwear. You can barely tell you have these on. The only problem I've seen with them is that they tend to ride up a bit when they're new. It goes away after use but the first couple of uses you might get some riding up. Overall a great pair of boxer briefs

They do what I was hoping they would do...

I bought these to help wick away moisture while snowboarding and they work great.

Same as other comments

I can vouch for the other comments on this product with one addition. For me the ultimate boxer jocks where between UA and ExOfficio. Even though ExOfficios are more expensive I find the UA better than the ExOfficios. They ride up less, and are more supportive.

By far, the BEST underwear ever. Supportive, without the uncomfortable scrunching. Breathable, next to skin feeling. I'm not one for underwear, but when I do use them, these are the answer. 9" inseams work best for me, offering a more sporty approach. Buy them, period.

Supportive and comfortable

The 'pouch' is perfect and keeps things in place. I haven't had any bunching, which means good range of movement for all activities. Thin material so you can use it as THE base layer for whatever you're doing (under training shorts, tights, etc) and it doesn't hinder you at all.

What's the inseam?

It seems like these are intended for warm-weather activities. Has anyone used these for winter sports? In particular, cross country skiing or snow-shoeing? I don't want anything, um, frozen, if you know what I mean.

I thought i was buying spandex. wrongo! there like underwear that is very expense.

Responded on

Although the description does say 'compression fit,' it also says its a boxer jock, as in 'this is underwear, not compression shorts.' Just FYI, these do provide some compression, but that is not there primary purpose. In the words of some comedian, they protect your pants from your @$$.

These are the best underwear for controlling sweat, keeping your stuff in place, and not riding up your thighs. I wish they were cheaper, but they are worth the price if you're in a hot climate or doing something that makes you sweat a lot. I usually wear a 34" pant and the medium fit great.

These boxer jocks are the best......they wick the heck out of an area that normally produces a lot of sweat.......the fit is true and they stay where they are supposed to stay, there is no ride up factor. They are just another quality UA product....won't ever go back to any other type of underwear.

Best Underwear Out There

Believe me. I've tried several types of underwear. If you are looking for a a boxer brief that will keep your boys in place and won't creep while your wearing 'em, look no further. I own several pairs. I know they are a bit pricey, but think of the boys!!! They're worth it!
