I always try to have an ant and beetle on me when I head out, regardless of river. For my ant, this is one of my favorites. I fish this in Utah and have in Idaho a few times. Different patterns of ants work better on certain rivers for sure, so do some research, but if you blindly go fishing a river you can't go wrong with this one.
