It Works

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

This was the first pole I purchased for my Gopro, it works well but now that I have upgraded to an extendable pole this has become obsolete. The nut that comes with pole doesn't stay on the pole, so everytime I unhooked the camera I would have to make sure I was holding it (not an issue with the extendable model). Other than that if you're not looking for an extendable pole then this is a solid option.

Pretty good!

Positives - Easy to mount, Grip is very sticky and is easy to hold on to. Easy to hold the camera steady and change angles. Strap fits comfortably on your wrist and cinches down to provide extra security. Super light.

Only negative is the pole not extending.

The thing I have liked about this pole mount is the handle is very sticky in your hand or gloves. I really like the easy of use and mounting this offers. This is much better than any other homemade pole mounts I have used for filming friends while skiing. One thing I wish it did was extend like some of the homemade poles I have used made from touring poles. The weighting is nice and solid and does not cause the pole to want to shift in your hands while moving on uneven terrain or snow.
