The TSL 325 Grip Explore Snowshoe's toe-to-heel crampon system and pivoting front claws provide extremely aggressive traction to help you take on steep winter terrain with ease. A heel lifter reduces calf fatigue on uphill stretches, while the rounded front profile allows a more-natural stride on any slope. TSL's ratchet bindings system lets you strap on the Grip Explore Snowshoe in seconds, so you spend less time messing with straps and more time hiking.

Bottom Line: You'll be amazed how easy snowshoeing becomes when you strap into the Grip Explore Snowshoes and head into the hills.

Granted, I have an older pair of TSL 225 Rando, but I really like them. One of the primary features that I love, that doesn't appear featured on bc.com, is the heel lockdown. While this doesn't transform them into Dakine Verts, you can toe kick into soft snow, unlike most other snowshoes. Also, the spikes on the bottom of mine are awesome, I keep the covers on them most of the time, but on open ice (think early am Cascade glaciers in spring), they are as good as crampons (WITH a heel lift!). I have a splitboard with skins/crampons, and on a day when I am pretty much going straight up the fall line on ice/crust in the AM, it is a toss-up whether to take the TSL snowshoes and my (lighter) solid board, or go with the full splitter set up.
Also, bc.com site says they are not compatible with snowboard boots. Again, my TSL's are older, but I have no problem getting my size 28.5 Salomon or Northwave boots to fit.

Does a person with a size 15 boot really need a snowshoe?Harsh! Try MSR Denali, Denali Evo or Classic snowshoes. They are designed to fit a wide range of foot sizes. The binding is key. Some bindings will adjust out that far. I hope this Google search will help to find the right one:http://www.google.com/search?q=snowshoes&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
