Troy Lee Designs' Skyline Men's Race Shorts are a one-short quiver for everything from downhill to enduro to cross-country rides. You could probably even show up on the local Lycra-and-skinny-tires scene and surprise some folks with how comfortable, stretchy, and breathable the Skyline's polyester and spandex construction is. The cut is baggy enough to work with DH pads, but slim enough that pedaling won't be a problem, and they have convenient front and back pockets to hold your gear with minimal bouncing. There's an additional spandex back panel for extra mobility, a removable chamois liner short for longer rides, and adjustable waist tabs so you don't have to mess with belts.
