All-out performance

The Troy Lee Designs Ace Shorts feature a lightweight, tailored fit built for the roughest XC riding. The Ace is made with a breathable four-way stretch polyester that is designed to accommodate your full range of motion in the saddle. Troy Lee also includes a large stretch panel on the back for added flexibility. The Ace possesses excellent moisture wicking capabilities to keep you dry, and welded intake and exit vents at the crotch keep the air flowing. But that’s not all. Troy Lee includes additional thigh- and crotch-ventilation zippers to make sure you stay comfortable. The Ace’s low-profile pockets are located on the side of legs so you won’t feel the contents while you pedal, and the adjustments tabs at the waist allow you secure the perfect fit. Finally, the mesh liner short includes a premium removable chamois that provides superb support on long rides.

Here's what others have to say...

Not quite spandex

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
  • Fit:True to size

These would be awesome for some, but not me. The material is super stretchy and comfortable and it ends perfectly above my knee. The problem for me is that they're not much different than spandex. You can easily tell what side I "dress" on and if you were so inclined you could probably figure out if I were Jewish or Gentile. If I were racing I'd pick these over spandex, but I wanted a more relaxed fit and went with the Ruckus shorts, which I'm stoked on! I'm 6' and 190lbs, and the 34 in both Ace and Ruckus fit me perfect. (I normally wear a 34 pant)

needs more storage

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size
  • Height: 5'10"
    Weight: 169 lbs

These shorts are very comfortable. The stretch material is great. The crummy part is there are only 2 pockets. The back one will not unzip and it's too small to put anything into anyway. The side pocket on the hip is too small for my phone. A pair I bought about 2 years had 2 pockets in the front with plenty of space for my phone and keys.

  • Fit:Runs small
  • Height: 6'1"
    Weight: 200 lbs

super comfortable trail shorts, but skinny if you hit the squats. normally wear a 34, but the legs fit like an me kid wearing girl jeans in 2004. had to bump up to the 36, waist was a little loose but the legs fit fine
