The Quadballer is an essential part of a number of Trigger Point Performance Therapy kits. It's also available separately in case you want to expand your massage routine, expand your range from the Starter Set, or just want to work your quads, hamstrings, IT bands, and lower back.
As with all TPPT products, the Quadballer is designed to mimic the human hand when you use your body weight and gravity against it. It has a padded exterior covering a hard core. It's a simple, hands-free method for massaging yourself. Looking at the Quadballer, you might see a dumbbell, but it's an ingenious solution to the problem of massaging large muscles. You place the Quadballer on the floor and then lie face-down on the floor with the quadriceps of one leg on top and the other leg out to the side. You use your upper body and opposite leg to roll the leg being massaged on top of the Quadballer.. Lying your leg and lower back over the Quadballer at different positions and points allows you to massage other muscles.
The Trigger Point Performance Therapy Quadballer comes with illustrated instructions.

Can this be used to massage the lower...
Can this be used to massage the lower back?
It looks to me to be too narrow to do so effectively, but I do wonder...
It can be used for the lower back a little, mostly on your side, but I prefer a foam roller or one of the massage balls. This thing is awesome for your legs though.
In shopping around for a roller, I had NO idea how big this one would be, you can't tell from the pictures.
Here's a quick product video from Trigger Point to give you an idea.
