Eagle Pant - Men's

Thanks to burly waterproof and breathable 20k-rated Gelanots fabric the Trew Gear Men's Eagle Pant eats stormy tram laps for breakfast and bluebird pow turns for lunch. By dinner time these loose-cut threads are ready to mow down on a zipper line with the inseam vents open and the elastic waist adjustment cinched tight. Stash some cash in the street-cut hand pockets and treat yourself to a little desert at the lodge, liquid-style.

  • 3-Layer Gelanots Fabric uses a membrane that adapts to the temperature of your body so as you get warmer the spaces between the molecules increases so excess heat can escape
  • YKK Aquaguard water-resistant zippers means that moisture won't leak in at your side zips when you're shredding
  • Superfabric around the cuff and instep defends the bottom of your pant legs against sharp ski edges so things don't get ragged

Bottom Line: The Eagle has landed.

Best Pants Ever.

By:

These are hands down the best ski pants I've ever owned. The superfabric at the bottom takes a TON of abuse, and they are by far the most waterproof ski pants I have ever owned. I kid you not, I fell into a pond skim recently, waddled out, Shook of the pants, and they were DRY. The same can't be said for my tall tee and waterlogged boots :/.

The only problem with these pants is that i tend to use them for everything. Sledding, digging out stuck sleds, splashing through mud puddles, changing flat tires... Oh yeah, and I skied over 100 days in them this year alone. After all of that, the dull yellow is now a digusting brellow (brown yello) but the waterproofing is still going strong.

The Price tag is a little hefty compared to most brands, but I assure you, it is worth every penny.

Could anyone give me some insight on the pockets. From the picture

Could anyone give me some insight on the pockets. From the picture they look like they are open to collect snow on a powder day.

If you are talking about the upper front pockets, they have a waterproof zipper inside of them that you can't see in the photos. You definitely don't have to worry about getting snow, water, or anything else inside of the pockets, unless you forget to zip them. Also, All of the other pockets zip or velcro closed, none of them are open to collect snow. A little late, but I hope it helps!

I skied both the bid and the pant last year. I thought I would like the bib better but ended up loving the pant. Of course I loved the bib too.....The both are warm and very comfortable.... the pockets make them great for hiking.

Does anyone know how trew sizing runs? I've never purchaced

Does anyone know how trew sizing runs? I've never purchaced any gear from them and am wondering what to expect. I usually run between a small and medium, since these are a loose fit I was thinking about getting a small- i just don't want them to be tight.... Thanks!

I wear a medium from them where I usually like mens large. They fit good and sag in the right places. Legit stuff.

Best outerwear to date

By:
December 2, 2010

I have a set-up of Trew's gear from last season and waiting for the new goods to arrive. I've tried tons of other brands in outerwear, and gotta say that I've never owned a brand that beats these guys. Particularly with their durability, the cuffs on the pants have hardly any signs of damage from walking on them or clicking into bindings. Had some pretty epic crashes on rails where the paint was rubbed on the pants, but the fabric did rip or get damaged at all. My local resort is pretty windy and can get wet, and this is my only gear where I always stayed dry. Thumbs up for Trew, their logo is appropriate.

Love the fit. Love the waterproof seams. Love the material. My wife loves the look of the jacket and pant.

This is one tough pant.
