Quality Issues

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs large

As another review mentions, these are incredible boots with a fatal flaw: the sole.

The comfort is fantastic, the style is cool, but the expected lifespan on these soles is probably about ~80 days of casual wear.

I'd actually forgive this if the boot's construction permitted resoling, but since it is an all-glued construction, when the sole goes, the shoe is dead.

Just as the other reviewer mentioned, these are getting returned.

I bought these shoes a year ago and just saw that they had a low review so I thought I'd my experience with the shoes. I think they're great. They're easily my favorite winter shoes and they've held up well over the year. They hardly look used even though I wear them frequently

First off, these boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever had, but they just didn't hold up to casual wear. They really did an excellent job with the construction of the upper, the leather broke in to a very soft and comfortable feel but still pretty rugged. The problem with these boots is that the sole construction is awful. Within hours of wearing, the sides of the sole were slowly separating from the upper at the flex point of my toes. The next part to peel away was the rubber cap on the heel on both shoes. The sole itself on one boot completely unglued from the rest of the shoe at the heel, leaving a large gap for water and snow to go into. Not only do they seem to be assembled with glue sticks, but I've never had a sole wear so fast. The heel on both boots has worn through the cheap rubber sole into the felt layer. I gave them a chance, but for the $160 price tag I expected a lot more. They are being returned because in only a couple months the sole has become useless.
