Sole came unglued

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These shoes feel amazing, and really have a superb fit. The sole grips well, and sole material held up well and didn't seem to be wearing down whatsoever. My foot remained completely dry when dipping them underwater up to the laces, and I definitely liked their unique look. Unfortunately, after about a month and a half, the sole started to come unglued, and partly ripped away.

Great Shoe!!! Takes some time to adjust.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

This shoe feels like a sock putting it on for the first time. I have never felt this with an running shoe before. I was pretty sure wearing it in the store that first time I would love this shoe, and now that I bought a pair, and use them a lot, it was about love at first fitting.

Now, having said all that, new buyers should know a couple things before returning them. These are very form fitting, based off 20000 other feet to make this mold, and if you have flat feet, these shoes may make your feet sore wearing them the first few weeks. It's your feet, not the shoes, that need some adjusting. Also, if you have been wearing Solomons or Addidas, you may be used to a wider base of shoe. It took me a while to get my balance with the narrower TrekStas, but again, just took some getting used to. I also bought these for about $50, and think they would be worth retail price ... I just refuse to ever pay retail.

I have not slipped on ice or snow once, and with 6 months of winter weather for me in Sun Valley, these shoes are great for my running when it warms up a bit. Like another said, they are warmer shoes due to the goretex. Oh, and buy a 1/2 to full size larger, since they run a bit small, or try them on first and remember what size you tried on.

Two months later ... the insides are wearing out already, and I know I wear the heals in every shoe, but this is far faster than any other brand. The soles are wearing out, and coming unglued. The icelock-hypergrip parts of the sole are almost gone. Still, for the <$50 I paid for them, they are worth more than that! If I can buy them that cheap again, I will, but wouldn't pay much more, since they are wearing out fast and that just means I could buy a more expensive shoe that lasts longer to equal the pricing.

Awesome!!!

I have had these for a few months now, and they make me want to go out and run!!! Got them on SAC for a steal, 50ish bucks I think, so worth it. Honestly I think they are worth the normal price. I was able to take them out on a little ice, not much, but they did pretty good. Two things that I noticed, they are a bit heavier than you average running shoe but to be expected with the gortex and a good sole, not to mention they tell you the weight so I wasn't surprised. And they are definitely a little warmer as its getting nicer out, but again, they are ment for colder weather. All in all great shoe.

Does this have a wide toe box? Is it true...

Does this have a wide toe box? Is it true to size?

I would say it is pretty good with size, I don't have wide feet, just normal I guess. As for wide toe box I would say it was average. I run with asics and they were the same fit more or less.

High quality footwear!!

This is a great shoe especially for the outdoors enthusiasts who asks a lot of their footwear, having the sturdiness of a trail shoe while still retaining a sleek, streamlined look. A bit pricing but you get what you pay for!

High quality but...

Over all I'm impressed with these shoes. The shoe design hugs my feet like none of others. When jogging I feel great in them because they are comfortable and not afraid of stepping into water or in snow. Somehow the tongue tends to shift left and left my skin rubbing against the topline collar near the top eyelet. The right shoe was perfect. I wonder if the left shoe is defective. :(
