It takes mere seconds for the Trango UltraTape Alpine Equalizer to turn two or three pieces of solid gear into a fully equalized, self-adjusting anchor. Simply clip each of the loops to bomber gear or bolts, and the Alpine Equalizer ensures an equal load transfer and provides a power point to clip into. As the pull from a following climber moves side to side, this ingenious anchor system adjusts without changing the force on each piece of gear. Tie an overhand knot in the middle sling to eliminate extension if there is a possibility of an anchor point blowing.
