Not very durable, meh design

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Tarp started to rip after only a few uses (<10) at the crag. Didn't feel like I was particularly harsh on the tarp at all so was pretty surprised it ripped so easily. The simple flat design is great in theory, but kind of annoying in practice. It's hard to get it bundled up on anything except a nice flat surface. If you're on a uneven surface it's very hard to get the folds right and the rope ends up spilling out as it gets carried. I am using it with a 70m 9.5mm rope. Maybe with less rope it's a bit easier to fold and would hold better? I'm now sadly looking for a replacement way sooner than I expected to. It's about 1/2 the cost of alternatives, but it didn't last 1/2 as long.

New version made of a worse material

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I had the older version of this tarp which was perfect. Did exactly what it was supposed to do which is bundle my rope into a compact burrito. The new version is made of a thicker, more slippery, plastic-y material that makes the 'burrito' difficult. The tarp slips out of the bundle even when cinched. Bring back the old version!

Disappointing

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Super disappointed in trango here. I purchased this model around 2016 and it was really durable tarp material. Recently lost in 2020, so without thinking I bought a replacement. Unfortunately the newer made products are made with a very cheap tarp material now. I don't expect this material to last but maybe one season of use. ??

Quality yet inexpensive

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I wasn?t expecting much more than a wimpy tarp. However, the material it?s made with is really nice! Feels very durable, the strap clip is very sturdy & the cinch is strong. I put my 70m Black Diamond 9.4 dry rope in it with ease & it fits in my pack with ease.
