Wear it however you want, it's always functional.

With the Hip Pack from Topo Designs you get burly Cordura in a simple, sleek package that gives you plenty of room for a camera, some snacks, and a few other essentials on your next hike. The liner is coated pack cloth so it helps to repel a bit of moisture as well. The waist strap can also be thrown over the shoulder, completely changing the look and feel of the pack. Bottom cinch straps make sure it never flops around uncomfortably, and leather lash tabs look great and give you a place to attach a bike light for those nighttime rides.

    A Long-term Relationship Begins

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm a mountain biker, and have gravitated in the last year way from hydration pack s toward lumbar packs that can carry an extra water bottle. My Dakine Hot Laps Pack has been pretty good, but I wanted something with mor capacity and better materials and construction. I ordered the Topo Designs Hip Pack and found the pack to be built ahd big enough to hold gear and water bottles for short-to-middle-distance rides. On the bike the waist band needs to be readjusted every 30-40 minutes or so. I expect to own and use this piece for years.
