Topeak's Defender XC1 2-Piece Front Fender is a two-piece, moto-inspired fender that attaches to suspension fork lowers for a close fit with excellent spray protection. It uses a precision clamp that secures the fender to the lower legs with a special safety feature, which allows it to disengage if a large obstruction enters the wheel, preventing front wheel lock up.
Lightweight, impact-resistant plastic provides durability without weighing the front end down, and the underside is polished to prevent buildup and aid in cleaning. The quick release attachment fits 36 to 48.5mm fork legs, and the Topeak Defender XC1 2-Piece Front fender measures 13 x 24 x 19 cm.

Worked for a few rides
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
Got this the end of last season with great expectations for it. It worked well for the first few rides until one of the clamps broke. Not really sure what happened - no accidents - the pivot point on the back side of the clamp just gave out. Topeak sells replace my mounts, but no one seems to carry them.
