It has the same great quality expected from timex with some cool new features. First thing I live about it is the huge face, easy to read on those quick glances during a 400m workout. The tap function is great as long as you dont bump into things like fellow runners with your wrist . I keep it on the medium tap setting and barely ever face any problems with it. The buttons on it are huge and easy to press without looking. If you want a really nice chrono watch I couldn't recommend this enough.

not really. while anything 'can' be done, that watchband is not designed to be a replaceable model.

You send an email to Timex customer service. They will send you a postage-paid mailer box. You send the watch in and in a couple of weeks they will send you a new watch or put a new battery/band on. For $5 if out of warranty. Just amazing.

I replaced 2 . however not with metal bands. one plastic and one leather. I am not sure but I think they cut them to fit.

What time is it?

Dual time zone is handy. Multiple alarms and timer all easy to navigate. Simple, straightforward, practical. Big and easy to read face. It doesn't have all the detailed info. of the Global, but for a fraction of the price it'll help you stay up to date whilst you get wherever you're going.

Great Watch

I read a bunch of reviews about how the tap technology wasn't very good. I got the watch on Backcountry.com becasuse of their refund policy in case the watch wasn't very good. The reviews were wrong. The whole tap things is working great for me. I only use the watch for running though (no swimming). I like how the countdown timer repeats and counts so I know where I am in my workout. I like the size of the numbers also. It has a few other features but I really don't need them.

It's great until you realise that in less than a year you have to buy another one because the band literally disintegrates. Oh and make sure you don't use it to time friends or coach as a simple clap of the hands will have it resetting on you.

My band also disintegrated in a year and a half or so. Mark

Does anyone know the actual weight of the watch itself? I cannot seem to find it online, only "shipping weight" which is not what I'd have on my wrist.
