The XS Carbon is identical to the XS Ti Carbon, only that the XS Carbon runs a steel pedal spindle rather than a titanium spindle. It's a big cost savings, moderate weight gain, and a confidence-inspiring increase in reliability, particularly for heavier or rough riders.

  • Oversized platform for improved power transfer
  • Independent spring tension maintains consistent float alongside consistent release

upgraded to these a couple years ago from some lower end shimano SPD. night and day difference. These allow way more "float" however feel much more stable with the way they contact the shoe. the extra float greatly helps prevent accidentally releasing mid-air which usually ends up getting the pedal in the shin. nice crisp feel snapping out as well. the cleats allow 2 for different settings that determine how far you can rotate your ankle out before they release. bottom line...... these things are TITS

Still the best

I've been riding Time ATAC pedals for years now and while they're not the absolute lightest mtb pedals out there, they are incredibly durable, reliable and shed mud/dirt with ease. I got almost five years out of my last pair until they finally needed new springs (which can be replaced). I expect I'll get at least the same wear from these....
