    Just right.

It can be tough to find a bike bag that's exactly the right size, which is why Timbuk2 designed the expandable Sonoma Seat Pack to expand to up to 671 cubic inches via a roll-collar design, letting you bring more stuff than you'll ever likely need for a day on the road. The multitude of hook-and-loop straps and buckles attach to saddle rails and seatposts, and external webbing offers clip-on points for carabiners or U-locks. The Sonoma is made from tough nylon ripstop and has reflective details that add some safety to your travels. The buckle strap even doubles as a carrying handle, so it's easy to bring the Sonoma with you when you hop off the bike and go looking for a campsite or secret picnic spot.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am planning a big ride and was hoping to use this bag to pack my sleeping bag. In a test run, in the rain I found that the bag held up again wet, except for the tail end that connects under the saddle, where my bag came out a little damp. I also found that even with everything cinched up tight it would eventually sag and rub against my tire. After a few re-tightening attempts I determined that it sagged because of the sliding design with one of the straps. I would have to modify the bag by placing a stopper on the strap to keep it from sagging, not what I had in mind.
It is great for lighter items but not for anything with weight.
