Almost Perfect

I have been looking for a laptop/travel bag. This one is probably the best of both worlds. The side zipper access is a great idea. I love the easy access. The bag is more than big enough to hold a 17" MAC, power cord, mouse, neat scanner and a lot more. Its extremely comfortable and the water resistant fabric works great. My only small complaint would be to have couple more small pouches on the outside for pens and alike.

The video below doesn't really show this. But it has a nice fuzzy, completely separate laptop sleeve. That is a 13 inch macbook pro in the picture. It would easily fit a 17 incher.

Big ol' bag!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This bag is great. Holds everything...plus the kitchen sink! Use it as my commuter bag on my ride to work. If you don't have enough goods to store, you can use the bag cinch belts at the bottom to tighten the load. Highly recommended!

Great Bag!!!

So I started with some similar looking bag from Nixon that was just not what I needed. I got this one on an exchange and it's amazing. The top pocket is roomy enough that I keep a 15mm wrench, lights, chain oil, and various other items in it. the bottom pockets hold my two calculators, a huge pencil case, various school related objects and occasionally some headphones. On the inside i can carry at least two engineering textbooks, an engineering pad, 2 note book and then throw a jacket on top or my lunch box. On top of that I can easily get my 17' laptop in the back. The across the chest strap is helpful as this is a pretty heavy load to bike back and forth to school everyday. Overall it's an awesome bag. The only con is that I'd like a loop to hook my rear bike light on. right now I just hook it in an open rear pocket. Also it would be awesome if the zips had two zippers so that you could lock them if you're doing some sketchy urban travel.

Best Laptop bag

I have been using my Phoenix for about 6 months now. Things I love about this bag. Easy access to computer via the side access.
Easy access to main compartment via a second side access zipper.
Expandable top portion of the main compartment. When the pack is not full, the top portion of the main compartment is velcroed together so it doesn't look or feel like a bulkier bag. If you need to throw a jacket in the bag, the top part expands out. It is pretty slick. The bottle opener is great as well, if you ever have the need to pop a cold one. I have gone through many other laptop bags- this one is by far my favorite. Perfect size, works exceptionally well and it is even good looking.
