Great Boot!

  • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these boots for my boyfriend, and originally they didn't fit, but after backcountry's amazing customer service we got a pair that did quickly!! He loves these boots, says they are the most comfortable boots he's own in a long time. We are avid outdoors people and he wears them every where!! great boot for a great price!!!!

Not great

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I bought these boots this summer in preperation for an off trail backcountry trip. After breaking them in over several trips in the mid west (~40 miles) I was ready for my trip. During the trip I was never on a trail and was often crossing scree and carrying a heavy pack, but these boots performed terribly. After two days one of the grommets pulled out. The next day two more pulled out, and the stitching on the rubber on the front of the boot completly wore through. The last day of the treck one more grommet pulled out and part of the sole started flapping around. The only good thing about this boot was the GoreTex. It kept my feet dry through lots of boot sucking muck. The overall trip was only 25 miles and the boots were completly destroyed.

A Reasonable Boot

I purchased The Timberland Cadion 2.0 because I needed a good summer boot that would endure regular use. I live in the rural mountains of Western NC and spend most of my time outdoors. I am not a intensive hiker but I do a lot of walking, sometimes on steep terrain. The boots were very breathable and comfortable. Unfortunately after 2+ months of wearing them atleast 30 hours a week the tread started to peel off the souls. WHen the gap got wide enough to allow grass and dirt to get caught between the tread and the soul I decided it was time to return them. An exceptional boot if you dont plan to wear them regularly.
