Performance shades made for people who live to perform.

Tifosi created the frameless Podium Interchangeable Sunglasses for athletes who need a single set of eyewear for varying lighting conditions and sports that move fast. The S indicates that these frames were made for smaller and more narrow faces than Tifosi's standard sizing options. Swap lenses in and out of these feathery-light shades quickly and revel in the crystal clear optics as you make your way to the winner's circle.

  • Grilamid TR-90 material makes these frames extremely resistant to bending, impact, and weakening by extended exposure to UV light
  • Interchangeable lenses are made of lightweight polycarbonate that's shatterproof
  • Lenses feature decentered optical construction that provides precise peripheral vision, distortion-free performance, and 100% protection from UVA/UVB light
  • Interchangeable lens system works by attaching and detaching the stems from the edges of each shield-style lens
  • Sunglasses come with three lenses: AC red, clear, and smoke
  • Ear and temple pads are made of hydrophillic rubber that won't slip around when you sweat
  • Ear and temple pads are adjustable so you can customize the fit to match the shape of your face

2nd Time's a Charm

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I ordered the regular Podium glasses add they were apparently too wide for my narrow man face. These actually fit a whole lot better!

The glasses are great and having no rim to obstruct your view makes it feel like you aren't wearing anything!

One worry, that I experienced with my regular Podiums, is that during a sweaty activity, the sweat can run down the lenses -blinding you...if I experience that with these they too will go back.

Really, why pay more? Tifosi is a cycling-specific optics company that designs great cycling sunglasses. This is a US company, by the way, based in Atlanta, GA.

I've used Tifosi "Podium S" glasses daily/weekly for over a year. The frames are really strong; the bike specific shape stays put on your face; and the nose piece is strong and very well designed. These stay put!

To clarify the three Tifosi "Podium" models for online purchasers: The regular Podium is designed for large faces. The "S" model for large to medium faces. And the "XC" model is designed for medium to small faces.

Three different lenses are included: a sunny day lens (smoke), an overcast lens (ac red), and a clear lens for night time use (or very cloudy winter days). I take advantage of the ability to change lenses frequently! Also included is a really nice zip-up hard case for the glasses and extra lenses.

By the way, if you break a lens, replacement lenses are only $15 from "pro-lens" dot com.

*Tifosi "Podium" are great cycling glasses!

Cheap shades that do the job well

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 5"

The frames initially seem kinda chintzy, but don't let first impressions color your judgement. These sunglasses feel nice and light upon my face (I have a medium-large head, for reference). The wide lenses provide excellent coverage and visibility. I use these primarily for cycling, and like how these lenses help me see things from odd angles with no blind spots. The light weight is also nice during long rides--no face fatigue...Im using the rose colored lenses right now, which are perfect for spring afternoons when the sun is shining but not super bright. As the sun picks up summer intensity, I'll probably swap the rose lenses out for darker smoke gray lenses (which are included).
