Most of the time (unless you’re incredibly unlucky), your spare tire just sits on the back of your car occupying space; put it to work carrying your bikes with the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Carrier. Attach the Spare Me to the spare tire bolt with the adaptor plate, throw on one or two bikes, and go.

  • T3 cradles hold bikes in place for maximum frame protection and stability, while the No-Sway cage prevents bike-to-bike contact
  • Arms fold down when not in use
  • One-Key lock cylinder locks carrier to vehicle
  • Does not work with spare-tire covers
  • Thule part number 963XT

Bottom Line: If you get a flat you can either change the tire or ride the bike.

For stock width spares

This rack will not work with wider spares. It wouldn't fit my 235/75R15 tire so I had to return it. Thule says it will only fit stock widths. Check to see if they have a fitment guide, I could not find one. Nice otherwise but will sit about 3" to 4" above the top of the tire and may obsure your rear vision depending on how high your spare is mounted. Can be offset to left or right to compensate for off-center mounted spare.
