If you've every stripped down your bikes to fit them in the trunk of your car, then you'll really appreciate the Thule Passage 2 Bike Strap Rack. This rack attaches securely to your trunk with six adjustable nylon straps, and the padded frame keeps your car from getting scratched. Thule made the Passage 2 Bike Strap Rack stout enough to hold up to 70lbs of bikes, so you don't have to worry about a thing even if you're loading up full-suspension all-mountain rides. When you don't have bikes on this rack, the bars fold down and stay out of your way.
Bottom Line: Stop taking your bikes apart every time you have to drive to the trailhead.

Does this bike rack work for SUV's as well. I have a CR-V - one of the newer models with a thicker back door in some areas. I borrowed a friends bike rack and it didn't work. Please let me know what bike rack would be good for my car. Thanks!
This, or any rack of this general style is unlikely to fit. It does depend on exactly which year CRV you have, so I can't say for sure.
I would recommend one of the racks the attaches to a hitch on your CRV. If you don't have hitch you can generally add one for about $100. Bike racks that attach to a hitch are much more stable than the kind that rest on the bumper. It is more money, but it is money well spent and they are very versatile between vehicles.

Thule says its a go for your Corolla. 910 passage 2 rack, I see your concern for the spoiler but I think that you can adjust this plenty of ways to fit over your spoiler, like bringing in the bottom a bit more to give you a little more height up top. Plus, it's on sale
They are not supposed to once you got them strapped in really well. The only prob. I would say is maybe your handle bars would turn and your tire might rub, but a simple strap fix
Nope. This one won't work on wagons/hatchbacks. You want this one.http://www.backcountry.com/store/THU0107/Thule-Speedway-Bike.htmlIt's a bit pricier, but it'll fit. In fact, I think the demo car in the photo is an A4 Avant, so you know it'll work.
I own a 2 door honda civic. Based on the picture shown, do the clasps for the sraps go on the outside or inside of the trunk? I live in Vegas currently and don't trust the majority of people out here from stealing stuff. I just want to know that the bikes would be on lock-down. THanks!
