Biggest, cheapest, best car-top cargo box!

It's huge. Easily holds 2 large suitcases with extra room even. It's strong & secure, latches down tight with a turn of the key. It's light: I did one-man installation by myself. For under $400 you won't find another car-top cargo box that actually keeps your stuff dry. Even driving through rain, everything stays dry. Love it.

What are the dimensions of the Mountaineer ES? I have 5 pairs of skiis that would need to go in it. The longest being 175cm.

I am looking for a car carrier top rack. For skiis, golf clubs or bags etc. i have a suburban . What carrier do you recommend?

Responded on

Definitely Thule or Yakima is the way to go. I've only had good experiences with both of them. I'd highly suggest going through their fit my car tools on their website to figure out which one works out.

Check out this chart to be sure, but it should be fine as long as your crossbars are set correctly.

Yeah, as long as your cross bars are set the correct length apart you'll be fine. My friend has a long box like this on his Forester and the only thing we every worry about is that when you open the rear hatch that it won't hit the box. If it is going to hit the box, if you open it nicely it won't matter if it hits it so long as you aren't slamming the door open and hit the back of the cargo box.
