Description

Load your car without standing in traffic.

Thule gave the Excursion ES Cargo Box a rear-opening design for safe curbside access and to let you still get to your gear when you have bike racks on each side of your crossbars. The Excursion ES Cargo Box uses Thule’s EasySnap mounting system which quickly attaches to nearly any crossbars out there. Thanks to the 13cu feet of cargo space, this box easily holds the backpacks for you and your three passengers as you drive to the trailhead.

Lightweight and easy to attach to my Lexus 450R... did it myself in about 15 minutes. Took it on a trip across windy Kansas to Colorado. Held a lot more luggage/gear than I was expecting and was a lot less noisy than I was expecting. Pretty sure most of the wind noise came from the actual rack rather than the cargo carrier. Did notice acceleration and gas mileage to a small hit. Other than that I am very pleased with it and plan to use it on all our future trips.

I was able to travel with myself and four of my friends from Moab to Yosemite with camping gear and all of our climbing gear in my Outback thanks to this box. Super easy to put on and take off of my rack, and fairly easy to access ( I am only 5'4" but my taller friends had no problem). I highly recommend it.

Will this fit on the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe cross bars.

It will definitely fit between the bars if that what you're concerned with. My family has a Tucson and Santa Fe and with this being 35 inches wide I'm sure the Santa Fe can handle it. Most of these type of products have adaptable mounts. Hope this helps. If it does please thumbs up. Thanks

This box holds a lot of things in it..... I used it for a family trip and love it. It is also really safe and easy to put on the car or out. The only thing you need is any type of crossbar and adjust the Thule box to the width and length of the car.

I was informed that your 2 day free shipping off did not apply to the roof top carrier I had planned to purchase, miss leading advertisement.

I don't think you can't... You don't need to have the kind or crossbar seen in the picture, any type of crossbar like the little ones over the windows. We used it in a Mitsubishi Montero, I'm going to upload an image so you can see.

I have two folding bikes (20 in. wheels) which I would like to carry in a roof top carrier on my Subaru Outback. Will this one fits the two bikes, folded of course)?

Probably not, although it depends on how compact the bikes get. I tried to get 2 Dahons in one, to see, and was unsuccessful. I believe Bromptons fold smaller though, so...
