    Awesome roof rack compatability

The crossroad railing is a great option and my go to on Subaru's for over 12 years. This will fit any car just about that has the built in railings. Very strong very dependable and exceptionally easy to put on. Only takes about 5 mins to install the entire rack. Love it!

      Stoked on these feet

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are the easiest feet to put on and take off your rack. We had them on our 2009 Outback, and then changed over to our 2012 Rav4 and it was an easy transition. We dread taking them off and putting them on a new car, but it was so fast and simple! They work great with our square load bars by Thule as well.

      Amazing piece of equipment

This by far is probably the most important piece of equipment that i own. The footpack allows me to mount just about any kind of rack i want onto my Subaru and go use the gear that i have. Fist it is incredibly easy to put on, the bottom strap is essentially a strong bungee cord that holds the footpack into place on the side rails of the car. SO if your car has side rails already installed by the factory this is probably the setup you would want. I'm not a huge fan of rain gutter mounts they also work great too for all the cars that don't have side rails. From here you get the cross bars and mount any rack you think of to your car and go. Love the footpacks.

      Amazing piece of equipment

      Great rack -but....

I purchased this rack system for my 2010 Ford Edge. The rack is well engineered, sturdy, very adjustable and really easy to install. Thule really did a great job. I only wish Ford had done as well. The feet that hold the factory rails are not substantial enough to carry a reasonable load (a couple of creek boats & gear). They are rolling in & I am going to have to find another solution- Probably some bolt on podiums. Bottom line- check your factory rails before you invest in this product and plan on buying a fairing if you are using square bars.

Simple to install, love the versatility

I was a bit skeptical of the "universal" nature of these feet. I just wasn't sure that I wanted a rack with a generic strap for the rails. But I could not be more happy with these feet! They are very simple to install and the strap is legit - looks like it will last a long, long time. I really like that the adjustment tool is built into the foot itself, and I like that I can take this off one car and put it on another, assuming it has rails. This was a great purchase.

I matched it up with some Rocky Mount Pitchforks just in case I need the trays when going with friends who own Yak racks.

Simple to install, love the versatility

          Thule Crossroad Railing Foot Pack

Use these to securely attach Thule crossbars to your factory bars that run along the length of your car. If you're not sure if these are right for your car, check out the car rack configurator on Backcountry.com. It is quick and simple to attach the Thule Crossraod Railing Foot Pack to Thule Load Bars and then to the factory bars on your car. I've had these for years now. They always go on and come off easily and have held up really well. You can't go wrong with Thule.

great roof mount options for factory rails

I use the Thule Crossroad set with the 50in square bars on a Chevy HHR. The Crossroad "feet" secure very well to the factory rails, I thought it would be a little shaky but it wasn't at all. With the rails/bars installed, it is only slightly louder on the highway than normal but I honestly was expecting the noise to be worse. (obviously, the HHR is not the most aerodynamic vehicle and it has it's fair share of road noise naturally.) I have noticed about 1mpg decrease for highway fuel economy with the racks installed (and no bikes on it) but nothing that bothers me. I expect it to decrease further once we get the bikes up top, but I prefer this option over our carbon forks rubbing together on a hitch rack.

              Easy Install

Easy install but geez for so much money you'd think they'd throw in the locks. A good product easy to install but 4 stars because locks cost me even more cash! I have a 2006 Subaru and these went on quickly.

                FAST!

I bought the Crossroad Railing foot pack, LB 50 load bars, 2 Peloton bike racks, Frontier ES cargo box & an 8 pack of locks.

When I arrived to pick it up from the shipper, the Frontier ES would not fit inside my Subaru to take it home. So, raining as it was, I got to mount the feet, bars and cargo box right in the parking lot.

I sat in the car while reading the directions. Then, within 15 minutes, feet, bars and box were on, and I was headin' home.

It went on in a hurry and I've had no need to tweak the fit over the last month. The Peloton bike racks installed just as quickly, and the locks drop right in.

Two road trips later, couldn't be happier!

                  Versatile but Noisy

I used this foot to replace an older Thule foot. The old foot was a model made for my make of car. This foot works almost as well, is easy to mount, and has the added advantage that I can use it on any other car with roof rails. The disadvantage is that this model seems to create a lot more wind noise.

Will these clamp on to round roof racks? I already have the the cross bars, I'm hoping to adapt them to the Congo Cage I'm putting on my JKU.

Do I have to buy two bars separately? I am sorry to say this. But, Thule sells "Complete Crossroads Railing Rack" on its website. The rack on the website seems to include feets, locks, and 50" bars. Do you sell the same item too?

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory rack and cross rails - Do I need to remove the cross rails when I install the Thule Crossroad 450 with Hullavator - or can I just move them inside or outside of the Thule bars? Thanks...

depends how high your stock rails are. the crossroad tower packs put the rail about 3" above the stock rail. once you put the Hullavator accessory on the rack, you've likely got more clearance, and should be fine. I've got a 2008 liberty, and this is a super easy, and low profile rack to install
