Because a family that plays in the outdoors together sticks together.

Thule gave the Cougar 1 Stroller with Strolling Kit multiple features that make it versatile enough to run, cross-country ski, hike, or bike with while your tiny tyke takes an afternoon nap. The enlarged chassis gives him or her plenty of space to stay comfortable for hours on end, and the aerodynamic design helps the stroller move with you whether you're simply strolling through the park or skiing across a winter wonderland. Thule also included the HeightRight handlebar that adjusts easily in order to give you and your partner a comfortable, custom position. Its Strolling Kit consists of two, eight-inch wheels that turn easily for fantastic maneuverability through crowded grocery stores and croweded sidewalks. For maximum versatility, you can remove the strolling assembly and attach the Thule Jogging Kit, Bicycle Kit or Cross-Country Skiing and Hiking kit (sold separately) to the chassis. VersaWing and ezClick systems make switches fast and easy, and the chassis' aerodynamic design will help you walk (and run, ski, hike, and bike with the added kits) swiftly. Both the VersaWing and ezClick systems let you change each kit out simply and quickly, and the Click n' Store stows a kit so you can change them when you're on the go.

Thule built the Cougar 1 Stroller with an anodized aluminum cage to keep your youngster safe in case it rolls. Each harness is connected with five points to secure your kid comfortably, and the bottom seat is padded to keep Junior nice and cozy for the entire ride. The full side windows have mesh to provide airflow on a warm summer's jog, or you can attach the weather cover when it's drizzling. The sunshade on the top protects him or her from sunburn when it's high noon. The rear storage is perfect for baby bottles and energy bars. When you're done, utilize the ezFold to quickly and simply compact this stroller down to minimize storage in your garage.

    Cougar 1 Stroller

The Thule Cougar chariot is a solid option for getting little one's out into the wild. The various attachments make it great for most any activity, and construction/quality is on par with Thule brand products. Once assembled, changing out the pieces is fairly quick and intuitive making it easy to use on-the-go, even with a fussy baby. Although there are some criticisms... This must be a real moneymaker for Thule as they nickel & dime the consumer every which way they can for all the various pieces. The actual chariot is a fair expense in itself, however, if you plan on using it w/ an infant, you'll need to buy the extra "infant sling" insert for another $100. This accessory, seems like it would have been simple enough for Thule to work into the original design. Additionally, be prepared to shell out more cash for each "activity" accessory you wish to partake in. The bike attachment (another $100) is the primary reason we went with a chariot type product. However, the rear-axle attachment is built around a 9mm QR, so don't expect it to work with any modern mountain bike without yet another added accessory expense (the thru-axle adapter is another $70).

In the end it's a decent product, but expect to spend just as much money in "accessories" if you wish to use it as anything but a glorified stroller.

Thule did a good job by picking up the chariot line, allowing them to expand their customer base and cater to the needs of the customer outside of the traditional rack systems. With the right accessories, this can be used from newborn all the way up to 75 pounds! We have the infant sling in ours, getting ready to graduate to the baby supporter and she loves it. It was a little touch and go in the beginning, but she was also very very very young. The best part of the chariot is that it isn't just a stroller! They come stock as a stroller but with the purchase of other kits it can be a jogging stroller (fixed front wheel for better tracking), a bike trailer, and even can be used out in the snow with the ski attachment! Be prepared though, you will get a lot of questions about the skis. As a base unit it is extremely versatile and can grow as your child grows. There is room for plenty of storage in the back accessory pouch and if you get the console it adds a cup holder and a zippered pocket. The uv shield is nice and plenty of clear plastic lets you keep tabs on the little one. It is not small however, even when folded, so definitely keep that in mind.

      Spendy but great

I purchased one of these when my son was born. In the infant sling he was clearly much more comfortable than in his infant carrier docked in the travel system stroller. Much smoother rolling than standard strollers, it instantly extended the amount of time/distance we could walk, making a big difference in quality of life. We were even able to take him to some nearby cafes and enjoy a bit of luxury while he slept quietly.

He's now 10 months old and we use it for jogging, cycling, long walks. It's held him securely and safely in all configurations. Great storage, ventilation and shading options. Very stable with excellent, adjustable, suspension. Secure attachment to bikes with QR axle (not sure I'd recommend for use with carbon frame though).

It does take up a lot of space even folded down and requires a few steps to fold but my wife mastered quickly. Picked this model due to lower weight for my wife's ease of use. Seems lighter than the listed 25lbs. Our bike rack (3 bike hitch mount) weighs ~25lbs and my wife won't touch that. :)
