Description

No more bikes bouncing in the bed.

Give your bikes the best seat in the house with the Thule Bed Rider Truck Mount. Carry up to two bikes securely in the bed of your pickup by bolting them into the 9mm quick-release fork mounts. The fork mount carrier fits most sizes of pickup beds and bed liners, and attaches to the bed without requiring drilling or bolting. A Thule One-Key lock is included to lock the fork carrier to your truck.

It shouldn't matter if your truck is the 2-Door, 4-Door, or Extended Cab, this should work for your truck.

Not secure-able. Ends make poor contact.

Not secure-able to Tacoma with OEM rails and bed liner. Even locked, with best / firmest setting and positioning, one good "yank" upwards and someone has your rack with/without bikes. Otherwise a great concept (on paper,) and nice design.

Better than a hitch mount rack!

This Bed Rider Truck Mount was purchased to replace a very new hitch mount rack on my truck. Even with the rubber straps & padding, the hitch rack sill put some scratches on my carbon fiber frames. With the new Bed Rider Truck mount, my bikes are now surrounded/ protected by the bed of my truck & nothing touches my frames. If you are a pick-up truck owner, I strongly suggest this mount.

Light, stable and convenient

I have a Dodge Dakota Sport...I thought the rack would be more than this..I would rate "light, stable and convenient".. Had used on several long distance trips at highway speeds, rough roads and heavy weather.. Have to modify mount for more stability...

Superb rack for Pickup's

The Thule 822XT is a simple, well made and easy to install rack. I have mine positioned where the bar is over the bed post holes on my 2009 GMC Z71 1500 Series. I have a set of the OEM GM retractable tie downs that L brackets set on top of so no starching the bed paint, not that it would but could I suppose. Holds two bikes very securely and as mentioned above in its positioning there's enough space between the Thule bar and cab that both tires fit there and I use rubber tie down straps to secure from rolling back and forth.

The only suggestion I would have is that they ship a metal adapter for the small square end of the bar rather than using a rubber spacer.

Thanks backcountry for the prompt shipment an excellent sale price. *** Have the Shipping Dept. also tape the ends of the Thule box too *** Mine arrived alright but one end of the box was nearly open that would have allowed the rack to slide out of the box in shipping.

Nice, simple install and secure bike transport

The installation took about 30 minutes, it's very solid and the bikes are secure at highway speeds. I prefer this option over the hitch-mount because I can leave it in the truck, there is no shaking over bumps and I don't have to worry about a rear-end collision taking out my bike (this has happened before). For one or two bikes, you can position the mounts near the sides so that you don't have to get in the truck bed to secure the bike or remove it. The only issue is that you need to remove the front wheel and there is no provision for carrying and securing it from Thule. Not a big deal since I can just put it in the cab, but it would be nice to have.
