The Thule Bed Rider is the simplest bike carrying solution for your pickup. The Bed Rider's crossbar spans your bed using an expanding cam mechanism and sticky rubber feet to hold itself in place. Installation and removal are both equally easy. The Bed Rider holds two bikes, and in really wide beds extra BR1 mounts can be added. For security you can attach basic cable locks through the heavy-duty metal loops.

Bottom Line: A no-drill, no problem truck bed bike rack.

Holds 4 bikes when you buy 2 more fork mounts

I added on 2 more fork mounts. Installed 2 verticle and 2 horizontal. Worked great with 4 mt. bikes. Also rolled 2 more bikes in backwards and connected those 2 to the bikes next to them. Was able to cruise Moab with 6 bikes. Awesome!

Write your question here...Can the Thule Bed Rider hold Kayaks? We have Thule kayak racks for our Tahoe but they are too high and hard for us to handle. We say Kayaks on a pick-up truck with something that looks like the Bed Rider. Thank you.

I replaced a less expensive version of this because the old one rusted and wouldn't adjust. Much higher quality with the Thule. You can mount it in the front of the bed or at the back by the tailgate. At the back it's much easier to connect the forks as you are right behind the mounts. If you use it at the front of the bed then putting the mounts out towards the side makes it much easier to connect the bikes without having to climb in the bed. I'm going to add an additional fork mount and see how it goes so I can get 3 bikes. I'd prefer 4 but I think you'd have handle bar issues. Someone suggested that you could have one at the front and back for 4 bikes. If you could mount it with the wheels on it'd be perfect!!

Sets up in minutes and holds two bikes snug in the bed. I love it, works just like it should.

Not Happy.....

Doesn't stay in place. Poor design to it. Guess it's the Bedhead's next.... Do not use the Wheel-On's with this, it will cause the bar to twist.
