    Setting the standard for seatposts.

Thomson’s legendary Elite Seatpost is known across the industry for its strength, light weight, and ease of adjustment. The post and cradle are machined from a single piece of 7000-series aluminum. The head is not pressed or bonded in, which allows for higher strength at a low weight. The Elite has a 2-bolt design that allows for easy saddle adjustments. Lastly, the Elite only weighs around 180g.

    Except no substitute

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Everyone compares their seatpost to Thomson, so why not just get a Thomson. If you like alloy, this is THE seatpost. I own two, one on my track bike and one on my mountain bike, and I would put one on my cross bike, but I don't ride it enough to justify the cost of a new seatpost.

    Great And solid.

Awesome seatpost. Very high quality seatpost and nicely machined. Very light and sturdy. I have not had any problems with it. Does not flex.

Thomson offers unmatched quality on alloy product!

    Classic

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

The Thomson Elite has been a classic standby any time I need a new post. I've had this on road bikes, mountain bikes, and city bikes. I've never had any complaints. It is comfortable and lighter than many carbon posts.

Great post when you need a lot of angle.

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I use this on a, now ancient, Maverick Matic. The monolink design requires the seat post angle to be very aggressive so the seat post has to compensate for it. Though it's at the limits with the stock bolts, it works out fine. No issue are creaking. Fantastic high quality seat post. With about 2 dozen rides on it, zero issues.

Great post when you need a lot of angle.

    The best hands down

I enjoy the aesthetics of Thomson but the quality can't be beat.

I've used zero-offset posts for some time now and I'm all in on Thomson. Some other stuff might be a few grams lighter but there's something about a Thomson, that badass look!

It makes my already amazing bike better!

    Can't beat it...

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I've owned three or four of these over the years. This one seems to be built to same standards I've come to expect from Thomson. Fit perfectly, set up was a breeze and it looks great too.

    Super Nice Seatpost!

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I'm loving mine so far! Everybody knows that Thomson gear is top of the line, and super high quality, so there's really no need to comment on that any further. I got mine on Backcountry, on sale for a really great price, too. The ease of installation and set-up went perfectly. The use so far has been flawless. I have no complaints whatsoever...

    Thomson Elite Seat Post

I love this brand and this seatpost. It holds the saddle real nice and tight.

I tried many seatpost before, and broke many of them, but this one just won't, its durable and can go through anything.

in general this seatpost is very reliable and you won't be disappointed

      don't hesitate to buy!!

I want to buy the Thomson Elite seatpost...

I want to buy the Thomson Elite seatpost for my son for his Surly Steamroller - can anyone recommend which size he'll need? If it helps, he's 6'3"; ridges about 14 mi each day commuting in the city. Thanks!

      Best Answer

From what I can tell, the Steamroller uses a 27.2mm diameter seatpost. Lengthwise, it's usually pretty smart to opt for the longest version and cut the excess off, but at 6'3", he may not need to. What a great gift, can I put you in touch with my mom so you can coach her a bit?
